I actually think this is some of John Williams' best work. Do some themes repeat? Yes. Does it feel like other "space" music? Yes. But I think that's part of the beauty, this absolutely sounds like space music, as it should. Large orchestrations, elegant chords, smooth melodies, big sound all around. Beautiful! Thanks for posting this.
When I first saw this film, I took note of the fact that it sounded like the score from E.T. I guess it came to no surprise whatsoever that it was the same composer. Yes, that same majestic sensation of looking up at the sky and seeing all of God's creation. The vast celestial universe. John Williams is a God. The dear man has garnered 25 Grammy Awards, five Academy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards. There is a reason. His music is always majestic and breath-taking... He's one of the most honored in Hollywood for what he does for damn good reason... And to Soundtrack of the Mind, for giving this to use without the burden of payment... thank you very much... Danke
Alot of the filler here is weirdly familiar from having (probably) been tastefully trans-fudged into other classic movie soundtracks from the late 80's and early 90's.
Magnificent score...majestic, uplifting and very, very John Williams ! 👍

Time Less!
The best music to accompany a Jaoquin Phoenix movie to date. Fight me.
The only other soundtrack to come close is Signs. But comparing Signs to Space Camp is likee comparing apples to dynamite. 8)
