You said you'd be doing magic loop (ML) later- what I'd like to know now is do you think this short set with cord extension can hook two cords that come in set to make one long enough for ML. I think I've heard 40" or longer is better for ML even if just knitting a hat. I wonder if yarn would catch at all those connections- as you said you've had yarn catch on these- this is what I'm worried about - I now have the screw on type needles and my wrists are getting tired of all that turning and looking for the locking p.m. - but I don't want Yarn dragging and getting stuck at cord-needle connections. I also like finer tips but I lean toward wood, as these metal ones just seems so slippery.Too bad they don't make sharp pointed short wood needle sets 🤣. Anyway please let me know after you try ML with connector & using cords that come on this set.
Hi Jules! Personally I don’t like ML much at all, but what experience I’ve had has been with whatever the largest cable is on this set (I forget now!) and it was comfortable. I think because the connector is a bar it could be annoying as it’s less flexible and yes those connections will potentially catch! Frustrating.
Why dont these sets have sizes 1 ,2 and 3 anymore? Im now confused as to which set to buy. I knit smaller items and just starting to knit socks. Whic set is best for me?
Not sure, Sandra, sometimes companies change up their product lines. I would say the lace short tip is the most versatile set still. It might be useful to get fixed circular needles in the smaller sizes - most companies offer smaller tip sizes this way that aren’t included in the interchangeable sets.
I know Chiagoo has a specific sock set that has 000 to 1.5 (I think) and they come with a cord that makes a nine inch circular or a longer cord for magic loup Or you could just stick with dpn’s for socks.
awwww you're so cute lol. can't wait to see more from you!
Haha aw shucks! You're sweet
Just added you as a friend on Ravelry. You have the same birthday as my daughter! so happy belated birthday! :-D
Thank you! Happy belated birthday to your daughter :)
What is the pros and cons of the long lace vs the short lace other than the legnth and additional cords
You should have done a demo!? They have thicker and larger cords to use with larger hooks/needles!

They do have an add on to enlarge two cords into one!

Is this kind better or Chauguo?
