I was gifted a set of these needles for Christmas, and I love them! Addi os my preferred needle brand for almost everything, so the feel is already familiar to me. I had one cable end pop off, but only because I hadn't secured it properly. They don't come in really small sizes are aren't as pointy as I like for knitting lace eeight yarn, but for all other everyday knitting , I'm very happy with them!

Appreciate the look over and comments. It answered many questions.

Good, thorough review. I have a few of these in fixed circulars, and I agree that these aren't very pointy needles. However, Addi no longer uses nickel to coat their needles. They've used a white bronze coating for several years now, which is still nice and slick.

Oh, that is very good to know about the bronze coating - thank you for letting me know!

Thanks for taking the time to review those needles. I was wondering about those. I am extremely concerned about that join, particularly for magic loop. That seems like a nightmare. The price point is rather high with a needle tip that does not appear sharp to me.

You're welcome! I found the join awkward to work, even once I got the hang of it. I'm not sure if they have other tips that might be sharper, but these are labeled as lace tips, so I expected them to be a bit sharper than they were!

I'm surprised they put that slit in the cable. It really does seem like adding a failure point. That's enough to keep me from buying these. Why not just put a hole in the metal part, like other ICs have?
