This stuff is awesome. It’s nuts how much stuff is food and medicine. Good homeschool for kids.
Great app. Been using it for years. I have tried several and this one seems most accurate. However, dont trust your life on just one resource. As in identifying a hazmat on the fire dept we used a minimum of 3 resources to identify chemicals. I use this app for initial ID. Then check my books, then reference the internet. Hope this helps others.
Same advice I had from a well respected expert in Australian native plants. "most accurate", but not totally. Use the app as an initial screen and DON"T treat it as gospel.
Thank you! Great advice!👍
Thanks Josh
Loved the end !!
I love your sense of humor ❤️
I love that app, been using it for a while, then I'll Google the plant and get its numerous descriptions, then read up on it, even in peer reviewed reports. Then I'll paint it in Water color, to put it into memory.
In Australia we have the Bush Tucker Man. Major Les Hiddens travelled the Australian outback and documented all the native foods, known as bush tucker here. He trained servicemen in survival. His TV series was excellent and very popular. Les is 75 now, a wonderful man.
Outstanding
Josh
Thank You for the informative videos you produce and share with us.
I love the app ! Thank you! 👍
Great informational video Joshua , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Beauty berry and green briar is plentiful in my area . I didn’t know green briar was edible .Ive heard from old timers that beauty berry makes good wine . I always learn something new from this channel . Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Definitely a great app, had it for a few years now and it’s been invaluable when out and about. 😎👍
Didn't know this app existed, thanks. I'm not usually a nature buff as in interested in all the plants around me, but should be good to know at east a few good ones that could be beneficial to us people in some way.
That's a great app. My son in law showed it to me. It's really cool.
Mikhail and I found that crushed up fresh yarrow works great as a mosquito repellent.
Yes it is a great app. Use it all the time.
Love U Comedy Chops - Grey Beard :)
Great information
Great series of videos !!!!
I live in Salisbury, NC and was wondering if I could pick your brain about some stuff. I really enjoy your work and was hoping you would have some available time for me.
Great idea!
I use that app all the time but I need to get out with my dichotomous guides this week and use the app as a confirmation just to get better at using the guides.
Yo Josh. I know a good amount of plants from memory - I grew up in the countryside of the UK. That does look a good app though. A good knowledge can save lives.
There is Love there
I use Google Lens. It's FREE and pretty accurate.
ALSO doesn't identify plants
Hadn't thought about this -- I've used PictureThis and several others, but Lens never even occurred to me. Thanks.
I did some research on the bug repellent properties of beauty berry about a year ago and although I found studies that said it was effective to put on clothing there had been no studies to say if it was safe to put directly on skin. I guess you just laid that one to rest. Good to know. Thanks
That's pretty cool Josh. I'm not much into all the Apps and stuff on my cell phone but I'm going to have to give this one a try, problem being that most of the mountains that I like to crawl around on, you can't get any signal. I love it, my wife hates it. 😜
I just want to come live and survive during the SHTF
How effective have you found beauty berries for bug deterrent? I thought callicarpenol had to be extracted/distilled before it was potent enough for deterring blood suckers.
I think I may need to come meet you and see you brother I'm Bryan.
So how does the beauty berry repellant stack up against Nessmuk’s punky dope.
Punky Dope is better
Positive ID from one photo? That app is like magic mushrooms man!
I don’t remember saying use only this. I use it to confirm what I already suspect personally.
I am an idiot I know, but i just can't understand, It's either we know things or "check" things, because we just don't know for sure. Man are we depending on data beeing deliverd at our demand.. But what if, any grid goes black..
What is the app named?

Thanks. I don’t hear very well and could not hear what he said clearly. I will go bk and replay those 2 sections. Thanks.

If it helps, you can click the “cc” on the video to get the subtitles. “Picture This” is the app name.
@@patrickb-man1309 thank you I down loaded it.
First
Nailed it!
The majority will wait until after there is no power or Internet 😜
Are we related? I'm a white haired Ranger.(1/75)
I was Bco 1/75, 93-97
I'm a bald tanker I may be a distant cousin
You aren't going to be doing that in a EMP or grid down scenario
Exactly why you should do it now, so you can learn
😂🤣😅🤭🤫
