Josh, if you have the time and are extremely lucky, while you are waiting to trap one of those ribeyes you may be able to find a beer spring. The tap is usually sticking out from between a couple of rocks near the rib-eye game trail, as they are almost always found in the same environment. Great video, love the outtakes!
I liked this more than the moccasin safety video. I look forward to the video about harvesting a hot fudge Sunday from ogre farts and the nail trimmings of a Unicorn! -SmacK13
Your foraging skills have went next level!! Congrats. Wild rib eye are not native to the area I live in, guess I'll just have to be happy with what I have.
Got to say your foraging skills are first rate. You could teach the scouts a thing or two about wild edibles. If this video is any indication of your survival skills then I’m sure I didn’t waste my money buying your survival book. Book should be here tomorrow. Can’t wait to learn how be eating the high part of the hog!
🤣Yes, the rib-eye cows sound great and I also liked that salt plant and the wild garlic! Nice trap, too😁 I`ll have to have a steak next time in the woods, hope I can catch one!😆
This may be the best video you’ve made to date had me laughing the whole time thanks for the comedy I would love to hang out with you doing one of these videos😂😂
I use garlic cheese toast and a loaded bake potato to bait the trap for T-bones ! In all seriousness , i dont trap or hunt on my own farm . Its amazing how much small game is now living on just the 80 acres around the homestead. Hare , Hungarian partridge , pheasant, ducks, geese , etc are plentiful . The only thing i do shoot are the gophers .
How often, on the same game trail, would you consider setting multiple traps? Also, the ribeyes run wild here in East TN, but being able to identify the plants necessary to season them, is a much harder task. Ha. Thanks for the info.
I just found you and have been watching this series also plan on buying the video and more importantly your book. Anyhow. This episode made me laugh. Kudos.
🤣🤣🤣 Gotta love those racoon ribeyes. It was so nice of the piggies to offer up some their excess fat to help with the steak. Very considerate. Loved the book. But you didn't cover the pepper tree in it. Loved the humor. The GI method of making a lesson stick with you. 👍👍
I like how he started with an L7 trap I have used it before and that’s a very effective trap especially if you can set it up we’re the animal gets flung really hard into a tree.
Good Evening from the UK Josh, thank you needed a smile and I am! Sadly not sure we have salt plants or Pepper trees must be the climate?!! Best wishes to you and your family.
Haha nice one, I have been eyeballing my 25 acres for about 9 months have all my GT identified, have yet to see a ribeye or black pepper plant, mushrooms but im seriously nervous about some of them. My dogs have been eating Coon/Possum and an occasional Rabbit. I dont know where the squirrels boogied too.
Sadly the wild ribeye has been hunted to the point of extension here on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Gov is looking into relocating some and reintroducing them.
I've looked all over the internet for the black pepper tree and the salt bush and can't seem to find any sort of images for proper identification. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I use a smaller snare set…. And all I keep getting is breaded chicken nuggets do you have any advice on sizes I would love to be able to snare a ribeye over the nuggets😂😂😂
Wow, my neighbors cows look better and better after that Video, i have the cast iron skillets already 🤣😂🤣😅🤭🤫 It's amazing what you can find under the leaves and the pepper tree branch? Oh and the salt plant... really amazes me 🤭🤫
That fat catching procedure only works on older female boars. Also there are little yellow butter flowers growing next to swampy areas which will provide a good source of fat. Just saying.

My wife overheard me watching this and the “pepper tree” and “salt bush” really got her attention with a WTF?? Too funny.
First time i ever heard of any one catching a rib eye steak in a snare. But i liked it !!!
When's the comedy tour start?
"Come see The Gbgb at a vfw near you!"
Very funny, thank you.
FUNNNNEEEEE! Thanks for getting through this with a moderately straight face...I was all braced for something very different.
I liked this more than the moccasin safety video. I look forward to the video about harvesting a hot fudge Sunday from ogre farts and the nail trimmings of a Unicorn! -SmacK13
i like to be educated with some good ol fashion humor thrown in the mix...well done sir..
Lucky! I have been trapping for years, never got a Ribeye, best here so far is a T-Bone! hahaha
Your foraging skills have went next level!! Congrats. Wild rib eye are not native to the area I live in, guess I'll just have to be happy with what I have.

You’re doing the environment a favor controlling invasive Rib Eye Steak population down to manageable levels.👌🏻👍🏻
Great video. Ramps are a good substitute for garlic. Ramps and fried taters with bluegill filets cooked in butter is my springtime favorite.
You’re one hell of a trapper! Well seasoned!
Great content
🤣 very nice Josh 🤠
Whoop! Whoop! Entertaining AF
😂 cute video! Did not expect that.
This is amazing. I must buy your book to learn more of these skills. 😊
Awesome man, thanks for letting us join you

Outstanding most useful primitive knowledge I've had ever seen!!! That's the content we all want to see 😀
This was gold!
You are a true grunt, loved the video
Classic
If only it was this simple all the time lol
_you were sure lucky to catch a perfect ribeye...and the black pepper sticks and salt leaves just laid right near it_
I live in the Pacific NW. Last time I tried trapping rib eye all I got was a feral Tofu.
Needless to say....I went hungry that night.
I just found you and have been watching this series also plan on buying the video and more importantly your book.
Anyhow. This episode made me laugh. Kudos.

I typically carry a T-Bone steak in my bug out bag.

Haha gotta love them nature's herbs. I'm right with ya man. Eat tough and hardy.
Too funny. Thankyou!
Thats funny shit, whats really funny is how many people will belive this.
I like how he started with an L7 trap I have used it before and that’s a very effective trap especially if you can set it up we’re the animal gets flung really hard into a tree.
Good looking steak , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Gee Josh!! You make it all look so EASY!!……….
Good Evening from the UK Josh, thank you needed a smile and I am! Sadly not sure we have salt plants or Pepper trees must be the climate?!! Best wishes to you and your family.
i saw this clip last year, thought these we new ones
I haven't seen wild ribeye in my area, but the ramen grasses are easy to forage here. Ain't hiking grand?
Wow
Ahhh.... My stomach hurts from laughing.

Well, I’ve been doing it wrong all these years… lol. Nice to see some light hearted fun !
You and Shawn Kelly (the “corporal “)should do a 3 day hang out. But do it out of class. Ribeye, bacon, chili, and cheese.
Haha brilliant
Dude, you didn't mention what type of bait you used, how to identify black pepper trees and when is the right time to harvest from salt bushes!
Haaaaaa you got jokes!!!!!!!
Beats the shit out of Squirrel.
I'm heading to the steakhouse..
Was what looked like a cast iron pan actually a rock you found that looked like a pan?
😂 I think I heard the bacon fat squeal "Deliverance style".
It's unfortunate that the wil boar 'juices' didn't look like bacon fat but some other bodily fluid did the boar supply on site or did you collect it?
I had to chase down a carrot masseuse to get my vegetable oil.
Sadly the wild ribeye has been hunted to the point of extension here on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Gov is looking into relocating some and reintroducing them.
Funny guy!
wonderful now how do I locate a12 yr old Irish whiskey ?
Do you cover the snare knots in another video?
I've looked all over the internet for the black pepper tree and the salt bush and can't seem to find any sort of images for proper identification. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I use a smaller snare set…. And all I keep getting is breaded chicken nuggets do you have any advice on sizes I would love to be able to snare a ribeye over the nuggets😂😂😂
Can you do a video on removing all the legs from the great Western ribeye ?
Wow, my neighbors cows look better and better after that Video, i have the cast iron skillets already 🤣😂🤣😅🤭🤫
It's amazing what you can find under the leaves and the pepper tree branch? Oh and the salt plant... really amazes me 🤭🤫
🤤
I messed up sarge...I couldn't tell the difference between the pepper tree...and poison oak...
it also tasted VILE!
Looks like the Ribeye I lost the other day
I only catch oatmeal in my spring snares
I have had to visit many steakhouses because I have not been successful in trapping the wild ribeye in its natural habitat.
Damn, looks like you couldn't find that loaded potato plant
It’s elusive
Bacon!!!🤣🤣🤣
Leaves of the salt tree......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“I might actually hide from them” - Josh Enyart.
When asked about being rescued while hunting and trapping Wild Ribeyes. 😂🤣😂
I know some guys are secretive about their hunting spots but please tell me what general area you’re hunting in?!!!😉
Do NOT troll Ribeye. Ever.
One word, 🤣
You just need to find wild tater shrubs so you can have steak and taters.
That fat catching procedure only works on older female boars. Also there are little yellow butter flowers growing next to swampy areas which will provide a good source of fat. Just saying.
Never rub another man's black pepper tree branch... -_-
🤣
I hope you skinned that steak carefully
😆👍🤣
😂🤣 🥩 👍👌✌️🇺🇸
This dropped a little late. It should have bee on April first.
The trapp you showed is nice, but how come you did not show the viewers on the proper way to build and set the trapp?????
I have a salt tree on my property
lol this video
😂😂
