Welcome to future
150 years ago underground Subway system opened in New York. Not a single western / Asian city is without metro services since 1970-80. In India, major city like Metro Mumbai is getting metro because all previous governments were sleeping all this years with corruption.
Kolkata metro started in 1984
IIMs, IITs were built under congress regime.
I am just wondering how and why the metro came to Mumbai so late? being the commercial hub of india?
Regulatory hurdles maybe, environmental protest and court cases which drag on for decades.
Very good. But hope this does not meet d fate of the collapse of other infrastructure projects.
So Terminal 1 currently has no metro access?
After spending 35000 crore you still can't make aesthetically pleasing design of stations....
Is metro very noisy? Does door closing opening make lot of noise?.
nope
Delhi NCR did it 25 years ago

Mumbai Metro tickets are very expensive as compared to Delhi Metro or Gujarat Metro.
But Mumbai's GDP is more than Pakistan and Mumbai just left behind Beijing to be the city with most no. of billionaires. So pricey tickets make sense in Mumbai, right? Oh wait...
@@thecomment9489 such a dumb comment from a retard. Get some better logic. Do billionaires travel by metro ??

PM goes for toilet inauguration also
I don't get it why pm has to come for metro inauguration don't you think metro inauguration is just a mediocre or mere a small task which don't require pm intervention
Yes mullah udhav should do inaugration
Lol, considering that it took more than 20 years for it to be completed from when it was announced, plus the dire need for more public transport in Mumbai, plus the HUGE importance of connecting the busiest economic centers of Mumbai like BKC, Dharavi, South Mumbai, SEEPZ, Airports, etc, I think it's the most economically consequential Metro line in India, if not the most important. If there was any metro line in India that justified the PM coming to inaugurate it, it's Mumbai Metro 3.
And also an incomplete Metro

13 years and counting 💀
40 years and counting. The original plan was announced in 1980s. Khangress kept dangling it for decades. Modi came, expedited and got it built. 10 years for 40 kms of tunneling is quite fast TBH.
It's will be nice if it doesn't get flooded like rest of Mumbai during monsoon 🤣🤣🤣
It is perfectly sealed water proof tunnel checked using computers. MD of Metro 3 Ashwini Bhide replied to a similar question yesterday and she said in case of extremely heavy rains in Mumbai the only thing that will be operation in Mumbai without interruption will be Metro 3. They made Metro 3 waterproof using last 100 years of rain in Mumbai, I hope you are satisfied now. I do not know why so many people are concerned about Metro 3 during heavy rains.
Pls improve your reporting.
Pls prepare before broadcasting .
OK! So this means only people who are using western local and living in south Mumbai use the Airports to fly in & out the country, and rest of the people who are using Central Local are worthless. 🤔
Companies and govt offices should move out of Mumbai. The city is not livable.
Welcome To NaviMumbai Citi And PANVEL!,
Who may concern..
For time being people!!
Bullshit!!
Metro train..in Bombay it means train services in metropolitan areas... also these trains are running on rail tracks on the open places.. not underground railway tracks...in Mumbai other metropolitan areas in India ..if rainy.. floods are everywhere!!.. so how the government maintain the project..these days money value is noted by the people.. Kotak Mahindra not concluded in the people...
Stop all over the world the underground passages...
Maybe in Manhattan (USA..not in Delhi..is still the place there?) Some of the underground metro rails are be in thinking situation..some residents needs to stable there's residents..so the government look on it and go for people...here the residents are valuable.. not the visiters!!.........
In Kerala memu trains are still there..they are good and worthy...
Are you remember intercity express... this trains can use for that with speed control...
Worthless vande Bharat is not needed...
Control the passangers with laws...
....
Anyway cut the idea.. every country have there own value.. don't copy ideas..
So connect the underground metro in open air.. can it possible?..why not..but very careful.. otherwise.. abandoned!!!
With out government... people will suffer..
With out government permissions.. don't do any business man's tricks in city's.. for money..
This is truly looting of people's money..
Again night traveling immortal traffics are came again... they are returned back!!..is the dream...if securitys are there.. again CCTV cameras... travelers again doubt full with securitys...
Waste of money.. waste of land's!!
BKC..BKC..BKC... Maharashtra then Mumbai...pune... nagpur.........
So We can reduce the travels..be family men's...
That's all.
Praveen Bhaskar.
I want to see Santacruz east station of Metro 3 line does it have escalators to go up and down? towards highway and staion east side?
Baggage/s will not be allowed to be carried on Metro trains who need to travel to airport .
Secondly , what happens to the underground stations during monsoons when Mumbai gets battered by flooding ?
u go by taxi or local train.....
Who said baggage is not allowed? I have carried baggage in existing metro as well without issues. They are not that stupid to not allow baggage
@@omkarvaidya6077 Not heavy suitcases dear !! Light bags perhaps

What 30 km in 1 hr 🤨
I think there’s some mistake in reporting there ….
Yes considering that there are stations every 2kms, it will definitely take 1hour..theres no fast line in metro...still better than traveling by road in traffic and more comfortable than local.
Avg speed of metro systems is 33kmph, accounting for stops at stations + accelerating and deccelerating while moving around stations, which are located every 1km or so
So yes, pretty normal speed
@@newbie8051 oho then that's why it is so slow 🦥🫡
33 kms. Each station round cycle takes on average 2 mins.

Monsoon Downpour is Waiting 2FLood These UnderGround Railway Stations!,
@@santoshsivaramkrish Though the monsoon does not happen all the time, you should see the damage it has already done to the country and though the metro is a good facility, it is also an open invitation to danger.
