    You kids were more than lucky.
    Y'ALL WERE FLAT-OUT BLESSED!!!!
    I was up there 52 years ago with my grandparents. And I got lots of family that live up near the area everyone agrees that's God's country up there... Only God could orchestrate that much beauty in one place.
    With much love and prayers may you kids be blessed even more in Jesus name... BBE 🤗🤗🤗

    Amazing Country and waters,
    some a mirror of my own country,
    I like that though you are a sailing channel,
    you're sharing so much of your country too.
    What a life you have both created for yourselves,
    and you both compliment each other so perfectly.
    Ben's comment, "You met the right guy", indeed,
    there is some truth in that for sure, however I'd say too,
    you Ben, have met the right girl. Pooch is so content too,
    A dogs mannerisms will tell you everything about the people.
    Same night (nzt), from the beginning, I'm still binging your episodes
    probably the few more tabbed in my browser, before I log off for the
    evening, but I'll be back. Cheers from 🇳🇿 😎M.

    I wish Raymarine would allow its control app to control the auto pilot functions. Being able to control the auto pilot with your phone or iPad would be great. Guess its a wired remote for the time being like you guys, thanks for the video, breath taking views with the white cap mountains.

    Another option for navigating is a tablet/Ipad and purchase subscription to Navionics... less expensive option to a chartplotter. We have a Ipad and a tablet and a chart plotter... we are into redundancy! Can't imagine stress of losing your charts going through Malibu Rapids! We were there last year.. such an amazing place. You did a great job of doing it justice in your video! SV Cariba

    Brought me back to two years ago during a 148hrs layover in Venice and I brought my inflatable kayak (which fits in the big company suitcase... Alie will understand) and went navigating around Lake Como for 3 days...
    And now, I really want and have to go to that Princess Louisa Inlet. Took my breath away... OMG that waterfall 😍

    Thanks for the great videos from BC Canada. I know Princess Louisa Inlet pretty well. You should not blame Navionics. Due to the high mountains, Princess Louisa Inlet is in the shadow of the GPS satellites, so Navionics does not get enough data to provide a position fix. You will experience the same problem regardless of the navigation system. Safe sailing!

    Hi, great video. I just stumbled onto your video and it is of particular interest to me as I also plan on exploring the PNW this year with my dog and am having problems deciding on a dinghy style to take him to shore at least twice a day. My options are a hard bottom rib or an aluminum hulled fishing boat. My concern with an inflatable is having to go to a rugged beach at low tide that has razor sharp barnacles and muscles on it slicing the tubes to shreds. What has your experience been and your recommendations? Thanks in advance.

    • @BreakingWavesSailing
      @BreakingWavesSailing  4 роки тому

      Hey JC, if you have davits or the ability to have an aluminum dinghy that would be pretty sweet! Generally with two people to lift we can get the aluminum hull inflatable up on land in most situations no problem. With one it would be harder and you probably want install some wheels on the transom to help you. I wouldn’t be too worried about popping an inflatable, they are built pretty tough. Rubber boots or flip flops help a lot.

    • @BreakingWavesSailing
      @BreakingWavesSailing  4 роки тому +1

      South of Nanaimo, we haven’t looked into prices. Nanaimo area the prices are all pretty similar and it’s hard to find a slip in most places. You kinda gotta take what your get and most Marinas don’t accept live aboards. With that said, if ya are persistent and a bit sly, you can always make it work.

    • @BreakingWavesSailing
      @BreakingWavesSailing  3 роки тому

      This video was shot in August. July and August (and early September) are reliable hot and sunny like this). In BC Spring and Fall aren’t as prevalent as the east coast (we used to live in Ontario). I basically think of winter runs from about mid october to mid April and summer boating season is around May to end of September. We plan to start sailing again in late April and while we might get lucky with warm sunshine, we’ll expect to wear our warm clothing well into May when o the water. We really enjoyed winter cruising in BC, but nothing beats the dog days of summer on the water out here :) Hope that helps!
