i was breeding a dumbo and a koi betta fish this was my first attempt to breed them it was a succes and i have like onehoundred of them!! and all of your vids are very helpfull.
A hundred newly hatched fry is very different from 100 fish that reach adulthood. My most successful spawn gave me 25 healthy adults with no defects and good colours and health. Some spawns will give you 75% health issues and 10% considered sellable quality, the rest are just OK- ish.
I planned to get an aquarium in this summer on June or July. I actually wanted the aquarium to have giant betta, luckily the store where I am gonna buy them has giant bettas. I thought they're gonna be aggressive but they're. Thx for the beautiful video! :)

Picked up some bettas yesterday never had them before. The guys didn’t change aesthetically but the girls did. One of them is albino and the other one I thought was the same as one of the males, but she’s actually turquoise. She went from being a white yellow color to turquoise.
I had an amazing emerald green female betta once that I had picked up from walmart of all places. She was a true dark emerald green color and I have never seen another one her color since. I think she slipped past the breeder because I can't imagine a breeder letting that one go on purpose..
Some of these I would have to Agree on but some was actually left off... The number 1 sought after Betta has been widely known as the Fantail Betta with Purple and Green Bettas tied for second. Suntails (a cross of Crowntail and other tail types) are also top five on the list with the King Crown. Suntails (Also known as Half Suns) are extremely hard as you have to have a nearly perfect 50% cross to get a Suntail Most turn out to be one or the other parents tail types thus making it extremely hard to produce. The Most common of these are the Halfmoon x Crowntail crosses. I personally have an extremely rare Double Suntail (Double tail x Crowntail Cross) Male that is being Prepped for Breeding. Also that GloBetta that was sported in the video was an Illegal Breeding as GloBettas are a trademarked fish that many Thailand breeders imported and bred with Koi to get a neon appearance. They are very much frowned upon in the community due to this fact.

In big island hilo downtown pet store they sold these I never knew some of those was rare especially the galexy one, I never really went for that one cause in person the gold only shimmers and it looks mostly black and red
I only have females, but have two Dumbo, one more hybrid with far more maroon red at nose and tail but the light grey/white elsewhere inc all fins. Two Koi, one with a lot of blue inc some bright metallic blue scales, and another I wasn't initially that keen on, but has matured into my favourite, being largely various shaded patches of terra cotta with cream and black. I also have an Alien blue that spends a lot of time hiding. I did also have three red dragons, now after two years or so one left.

King crown betta are absolutely gorgeous, and butterfly crown tails, actually they all are gorgeous. Rose tails have such multi colors, galaxy…hell. It gets better and better
so albinos always have red eyes btw. some of the betta shown during that section were just white with other colors. leucism is similar to albinism but with blue eyes instead i believe you can find some bristle nose plecos with this trait
I found a rose tail mustard at petsmart for $30. He now resides with 13 Galaxy rasboras and 4 otocinculus in a planted 15 gallon tank. He is one of the prettiest fish I have every had
#3 the albino, it's actually called Cellophane Betta. It's a blank canvas for breeders. #4 the golden betta was due to selective breeding from the Cooper color. The original breeder explained how he created the gold betta. Can find it on UA-cam #16 - missing the Hell Boy Bettas. Red variation with black eyes. Great video

It depends. Copper has few patterns, including Ironman and black copper.. pure genetics of these breed are rare. But often there are mixed quality of such betta available in market which is not that rare.
I have a very rare pure purple half moon male betta fish (I am not lying) I have found him at a local pet store, now I have him in a high quality 30 gallon aquarium with a filter/heater along with fully aqua scape that resembles it's natural habitat.
I love them as well. You can see I used her in few of my video thumbnails 😂😂 Have you felt she is aggressive? Generally I had experience of turquoise female being agreesive

Hey i have a lot of betta types some are rare i have rosetail betta, vail tail betta, crown tail betta, golden betta, turquoise betta, elephant ear betta, half moon plaket, albino betta and double tail betta
I found a few alien bettas at petco, but they were there for so long they had no color which made them look sick. i asked the manager and she gave them to me 50% off, so i only paid $15 for two alien bettas. one of them is dark blue, and the other is green with hints of blue and red with a spade shaped tail.

Turquoise color is usually a cull from Royal Blue parents, I didn't know it's rare to some but it's good to know!

This was a great video! one variety i see often in canada are the blue mustard fan tailed bettas. They are not very pretty but sell for 40-60$ locally
that’s high price for mustard gas unless it’s rosetail or over Halfmoon. May be more demand for them in Canada.

Candy shows atleast 5 colors. Koi is just marble gene betta even with 2 colors.

that’s fancy plakat betta. Usually it comes random colors and pattern. It’s hard to make genetically get the exact pattern or colors.
