33k for this truck, and throw in the bedliner. 33k total, for all the BS fees they want to include, tax, and title and a closing cost/document fee of no more than 100$. I plan on waiting for 2021 to see the new model re-design and see if we get a v6. Cooperate Ford greed prevents us from having a decently priced Ranger Raptor. Also waiting to see what comes of the investigation into Ford's misleading gas millage. The main selling point on these are gas mileage.
Psssssssh they need to check into rams misleading gas mileage, i wanted a raptor n they were all marked up and now have a ram rebel, 6 months in and im not liking all the gadgets and electronic gimmicks..just want mean looking truck with workload
To everyone complaining about the price, the 4x2 models are significantly cheaper.. ish. The lariate 4 door... and random added features.... would cost me 480 roughly with a 2k down payment but the 4x4 version adds about 200$ more a month. If I wasn’t a welder I would stick with the cheaper model but I tend to need 4x4 due to the roads... or lack there of. Plus a cheap beach vehicle.
I have that very same truck ! I wish ford would have put a engine cover on and Ignition bezel on the steering column the Ignition barrel slops around without it
Over 40k for a half way decent equipped XLT with a little 4 cylinder motor is BS. They selling same packages for 10k less overseas brand new. So why the big up charge on us? I really like the truck and I need on for what I do, but it’s unaffordable for regular working folks. Trucks are turning into toys for the rich.
wilecatrexy they do cost more but people are comparing the older rangers to the newer ones. All these new cars come with more stuff. If you don’t like it, buy a used older model I guess.
Ecactly. This truck feels like its built like a tank..in good way. Powertrain Is outstanding! Most tech of any midsize. Best looking in my opinion. New '19 XLT FX4 crew cab in our driveway!
On the top trims these get really pricey. Too much IMO and thousands more then loaded Z71's and Tacoma offroads. However, one thing that Ford did right was they made the FX4 package available on all trims. So you could actually get this on the XL and probably pay in the low 30K range. And IMO, the only way to get a good buy/value is to probably go with the XL and load it up. .
for 45k FX4 lariat..it should include full sunroof, all aluminum body like the F150. My dad just bought a 2018 platinum limited F150 for 53k and it has more options then the ranger just 8k more. I was gonna trade my 2016 Colorado z71 for the ranger but now seen how it lack features ill pass..
On the outside, better looking then the lariat. Prefer the grill on this one. Put some offroad steps on it will complete the looks. As for that mid cycle refresh that you speak of I did not like what it did to the outside front end look. My 2014 with a nudge bar in the Fiji Islands was much tougher looking. Also not liking the smallish hvac knobs etc.. on the inside. GM does a much better job on their infotainment and button layout. But this is how Ford lays it out both trucks and cars. The other carry over that should have been fixed was the back seat. Won't fold flat. Only half ways on at an angle. Never understood that. Plus no tail gate assist. At this price point it should. But if I had chose this over the Chevy this model is about what I would have got. Closest to what I had in Fiji. But I also had the 3.2 diesel which was a beast.
@@NeighborhoodCarReviews Still prefer the XLT over that as well. Its the grill treatment. They are all different. XL, XLT, and lariate all have different style grills.
I have a feeling that when the redesign happens on the Ranger, we will see tailgate assist, the tailgate step as well as other technologies that should be present. I feel that the buttons are a bit small, cryptically labeled and not very cohesive. Now, I do actually like the Ford Sync and FCA Uconnect systems over the GM infotainment systems.
@@NeighborhoodCarReviews Allot of people think this Ranger is all new model. And Ford did go with a new motor and transmission. Also the steel bumper. But allot of this is still the good old T6 that the Australians developed back in 2012. Ford really didn't commit to bringing this home until a few years back. And when Toy/GM started to sell over 400K units combined on the mid size then Ford could no longer deny the mid size market was dead. At which point they backpedaled and rushed this to market. The interior and exterior looks so much like my 2014 except the front end. And that refresh in 2015 made it look worse IMO. Its still a great truck. And globally it's taken a huge chunk out of Toyota's Hilux market share. I don't think it needs much but the front end really needs redoing again. The tailgate. As a guy who has tested the 2019 Tacoma, Ridgeline and Ranger, I have to say you seem to have very lofty expectations. I felt that the ranger engine pulled real hard and that's also the opinion of the automotive press. It certainly isn't lazy like the Tacoma. No one shopping in this segment is looking for big power, they are looking for fuel economy and I experienced 10.6L/100km (22.2 mpg) after one hour of mixed driving and I got into the throttle several times because the truck is quick. Not to offend any loyalist but this truck already feels dated. The interior looks dated as well as it reminds me of a Ford escape. everything is overpriced
Why not just get a MomUV and save a few bucks?
The best I can do is 25k
Won't do less than 32k plus tax
Not to offend any loyalist but this truck already feels dated. The interior looks dated as well as it reminds me of a Ford escape. There are too many shared parts including parts of the software they are using now, modular and boring. I really hope they don't cock up the Bronco as it will share the platform of this really boring thing.
B Alt it is definitely a Ford Escape engine aswell
B Alt the only nice one is the lariat. Yeah it's the most expensive but I wouldn't pay money for any of the lower end models. They look cheap
Bat Man don’t tell the Toyota fanboys there truck’s interiors are from 2006 then
V6. V6. V6. V6. V6. V6. Imagine a 300 hp v6. Would be so much better..... probably would sell like crazy. But oh well. Toyota/ Chevy here I come !!!
Semi Auto imagine the 3.5 ecoboost with 380 horses and 450 ft pounds of torque, it’d be wild
Kristian Fussell you right. But all we got is a 4 banger :-(( oh well. Looks good though,,,, when it’s time to buy another truck. Won’t be a Ranger !
A V6 Manual would have been sweet!
NA V6 is old tech. Nobody cares about them except dipshits who think it’s still 1994
OrangeManBad.MP4 us dipshits will still be driving when your turbo is in the shop.
Too damn overpriced, rather just buy the xlt f150
Whoever's idea to only makes them with a beige headliner, should rot in hell
yeah a light gray would be nice but its to make it not too dark inside, I get it but it is what it is
No manual, no V8, No Thanks.
Buy a Tacoma
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA
Definitely the best choice in the mid sized truck category
Shakerhood69 the ranger, right?
@@franimal007 No, the Tacoma is the leader of this segment.
@@Shakerhood69 Shame on you shaker hood, are you a ford owner? with a name like that I would suspect you have a Mach or a boss? Hmmm, just saw a comparison between the Ranger and a Toyota and they picked the Ranger.
