Yeah, I always listen bc he is very knowledgeable and provides a unique perspective, but after listening to hours of this guy talk in various interviews, I've noticed that he cannot bring himself to say "Iran made XYZ mistakes," or "Iran was wrong for this," or that Iran lost any amount of power, credibility, etc. regardless of what the specific issue is. By his own admission, he proudly served in the Iranian military and has played an advisory role to the Iranian government during the JCPOA talks. He's still worth listening to, but I always do so bearing in mind that I'm hearing an unabashedly pro-Iranian perspective, not objective analysis.

So, all that being said, if you want to keep your job at the university then you have to abide by the haphazard rules of Khamenei.
