I love how she changes her content to cater to different Asian cuisines not just Thai. She’s definitely one of my favorite chefs on UA-cam. Always precise and makes her good look so beautiful and very unique. Always enjoyed watching
It's interesting, but I do find it a tradeoff of learning about a wider variety of cuisines vs deep expertise in that cuisine. Like, I've seen Korean cooking channels try to make Thai food, and they make me think: they may know the basics, but they're not going to know about the ideal way to do it, what brand of coconut milk to use and how to make sure it splits, or have some historical Thai recipe. I think the beauty of UA-cam is you can find people who have the deep expertise for anything. As much as I like this video(and I appreciate Pai's expertise in working with mango and pastries and just her attention to detail), it's more inspiration for me to seek out a recipe from a cook who specializes in Hong Kong cuisine for this recipe to see if there's anything missed. That being said, I don't want to imply just because she's Thai that her only area of deep expertise is Thai food or that she can't apply her expertise to improve dishes outside her core knowledge, but I feel like her time is best used when she's teaching us information that's much harder to find elsewhere as in depth.
I made this for a dinner party I recently hosted, although there were other delicious dishes at the dinner, THIS was the star of the night that left people talking about it for days after. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
Love your videos. Your cooking demo has clear explanation and often also science based. Plus your lovely smile and sense of humour makes your cooking videos enjoyable.
Hi Pailin. I made this twice now it's so good and so easy! the second time I skipped the mango puree but it still tasted great. I wasn't able to whip the cream successfully but still tasted great as well. thx so much for the recipe!
I started watching Pai's kitchen just recently. I found it very useful and fun to watch. She has great contents and recipes, I also find her very personalble. Thank you so much.
We have breakfast for dinner on Mondays. Surprised the family and made this for them. Was an absolute banger. The mango puree was a top-notch addition. Really helped bring everything together. Great video and detail with the recipe & step-by-step.
I know this isn’t a thai dessert, but I just watched a thai drama show where one of the main characters cooks thai food, including desserts- and now I’m obsessed with watching Asian dessert recipes! Lol
You’re a sweet fella...you’re thinking of your wife! My fella has never cut a mango for me...hahaha so he’s not going to attempt this. This mango crepe looks so yummmmm 😋. Have to see if I can get sweet mango now and try this . I love anything mango! Thanks Pai for another yummy creation ! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
These look delicious-- perfect to bring to a summer BBQ party when everybody else has oh-so-creatively bought potato salad and coleslaw and that sort of thing. Nobody would have thought of bite size, neat little tropical desserts like this. Winner! Knowing me I'd ruin these gorgeous little parcels and make a horrible mess in the kitchen. I'll give 'em a try next spring, for sure.
I believe there is a better (faster) way to peel mangoes. Cut them into two 'cheeks' as you say, and use a tall glass to scoop the whole flesh out. That way, you can still cube and slice them without losing much fruit. Philippine mangoes are widely famous too so I guess this technique should proceed with the fruit :)
nattō don’t worry, not forcing anyone to stick to it. Just thought it would be a good tip out there, coming from someone who deals with mangoes year round. :)
Hi chef excellent recipe thank you 👍👌👏❤️, I just made them and they are delicious 😊 yes this is the smile on my face. Take care and be safe you and your family 🌻
8:32 😲 MINI WHISK! 😍 Yay 💕 11:04 🤩 Thanks, Pai and Adam! 😂 My family loves mangoes and pancakes. They will surely enjoy this new approach from your recipe. Regards from the Philippines 🇵🇭 Mabuhay! 😊💕
Pai, this looks so delicious. I'm definitely going to have to try it out! My family loves mangoes and have been experimenting with some healthy mango desserts.
It’s hard to find sweet mangoes these days here in California.. but I got frozen ones for interesting recipes like this! Yay! Thank you for sharing this...💖
As someone with lactose malabsorption I might have to try this with coconut cream, or even make a dairy-free custard to fill the crepes because I love mango and crepes!
The most popular mangoes in my area is Philippine mangoes due to its sweetness. I will use it for this pancake mix. Great Hong Kong mango pancake dessert recipe Pai!

Yea but the external wont be as pretty.
nattō it is smoother actually than using a knife, which removes the natural curvature of a mango.
nattō don’t worry, not forcing anyone to stick to it. Just thought it would be a good tip out there, coming from someone who deals with mangoes year round. :)
Cutting and scooping is the only sensible way to do it, and this is from me who loves to peel stuff.
Thank you for the recipe, tasted delicious.
We call it crepes here in Malaysia and we have all flavours! My favourites are durian, mango and oreo
Yea:-) in my neighborhood there’s this lady that sells them! her oreo, strawberry, and mango ones are my fav
these look so good!!!!! spring starts in 3 days in australia and ill definitely be making these as soon as i can get mangos :))))))
This looks sooo yummy! Can I substitute the cornstarch with tapioca flour?
I love mango, but right now I'd love to make this with peaches. I bet they would be just as delicious! Plus the interior of BC has AMAZING peaches!
YES!
Truly, Peaches is the best export product of Canada!
Thank you! I always have a hard time finding good mangoes here and was trying to think what other fruit would work well. Peaches sound perfect!

The best part is when Pai sneakily eats the toasty crepe, taking a big bite is definitely a runner up.
This recipe is so much more yummy than the actual yum cha ones. TQ
Whenever I click on Pailin's video I always say sawadeeka together with her. I was like what in this one :D

Some people eat mango like a kiwi?? Mindblown haha
Putting the mango seed or pit in a cheese cloth is great. An improv sweet pacifier

Wow mouthwatering
As someone with lactose malabsorption I might have to try this with coconut cream, or even make a dairy-free custard to fill the crepes because I love mango and crepes!
I think that would work really well with coconut whipped cream!
@@PailinsKitchen oooh... just had an even better idea. Take your sticky rice and mango recipe and put it in a mango crepe 😊
OMG, I really really love this recipe and the video. I will make it this weekend. Wa-hoo. 好野。
It's so appetizing.
And your skills are very sophisticated.
Mouth watering!

They came out with a new cuckoo rice steamer. OMG you have to review this. It still plays your song. We enjoy your posts. Keep up the good work.
How long can you keep them in the fridge after assembling them with the fruit and whipped cream?
looking so tasty.................
Could you please make a video on soup dumplings? (Xiao long bao)
Exellent, I get to see it first! Greetings from Germany!

Mini burrito!!! So much cuter now that you put it that way ;)
Wow your channel inspired me to make cooking youtube channel 👍👍
Omg my mom used to work at Sun Sui Wah and she memorized the recipe for this... but now she’s kind of forgotten the exact measurements
Whoa! I never knew about it. Must be really really good! :: )
awesome
Mmm YES! love this at dimsum!!!!
I've never seen those at any dim sum places I've been to. It's usually just custard tarts, almond gelatin and a few other things for dessert items.
If you're in Hong Kong, you can find these in dessert stores.
From Hong Kong! Such a smart way to add mango sauce. I always feel like biting two separated things when eating this. This definitely makes it one !
YES! That's a great way of describing it. It bridges the mango and the cream for sure.
I have to make these 😋😍
The most popular mangoes in my area is Philippine mangoes due to its sweetness. I will use it for this pancake mix. Great Hong Kong mango pancake dessert recipe Pai!
Awesome from Jamaica
Love it soooo delicious 😋😋😋😋👍👍
Hi Pai, is your this recipe able to make crispy crepe?
How much flour did u put? Thx
Hi! The written recipe is linked below the video :) Cheers! Adam
im so sad because mango season is over 🥺
i wanted to make this
Me too it’s too bad it’s spring where I live
Does the filling get flat over time if I make it the night before for my office party? Or keep them chilled until serving?
Yummy!
Interesting recipe!!
Delicious
Hi 👋🏻 may I know is this the same with the crepe cake?
How many pancakes it makes
Hi! That info will be in the written recipe linked below the video. Cheers! Adam
