Not related to books at all... but I'd never heard of Jeff Arcuri and after this video I went and looked him up. Thank you for introducing me to this. I almost died of laughing.
"I'm sick and tired of dumb female characters" ... that's literally the worst thing in thrillers, which i read... all the time... it's even worse than expected unexpected twist 😂
I felt the same way about Home Is Where The Bodies Are! I haven't had luck with that author in the past, so I was surprised I liked this one for the most part. Perhaps it's as you said; their writing is improving.
wow, sorry Meg, I would have commented on this video yesterday but I am having such an amazing time in the discord with all the other lovely people being sad girls lately that I lost track of time and only getting around to it today! I don't read thrillers, and every time I see people discuss thrillers I am so glad I don't lol glad you had a couple of solid reads here though!
Keep the depraved by Bryan smith on your radar! 3 books total they REALLY got me out of a slump. I'd litterally die If you read/review them in a video ❤
BRAT, if you're struggling with thrillers and extreme horror at the moment...read The Devil of Nanking!! (Yes it's me again). It's the perfect balance of dark thriller and beautiful writing.
female characters with 0 self preservation or self respect is why i try to stay away from thrillers and romance. i have enough of that in my own life lol
It's a shame The Unraveling went downhill, because the beginning sounded great. I thought about looking it up until you started talking about how the protagonist was making stupid decisions, then I was like, never mind.
Haven't really started the video yet, but I enjoyed Home is Where the Bodies Are. Immediately picked up another thriller by her, and immediately hated it because it was more erotic than thriller, and it was set in Wyoming and was clear that she knew nothing about Wyoming. She made it sound like it's too rough for women to live there?
I hated home is where bodies are. So predictable and i hating the ending. It was like a bad lifetime movie. Long legs is my favorite movie of the year.
From brazil hereeee... Absolutely crazy about your channel and i cant shut up about it. ❤ congrats.
Thank you so much!! ☺️

Ughhhhh it’s almost insulting like why does this genre thrive off this?
movie night? 😮
everyone starts watching at the same time, and then you discuss it?
Yessss
It's a shame The Unraveling went downhill, because the beginning sounded great. I thought about looking it up until you started talking about how the protagonist was making stupid decisions, then I was like, never mind.
Ugh suchhhhhh a let down. It was amazing to start with and then…..WTF

Yessss I keep hearing that her other books are trash so I haven’t read many lol I hate when you can tell that authors didn’t do their research

I completely get why people hate that book lol but Longlegs? IMMACULATE
I’m probably the only dude on this channel lol, but I love good thrillers!
30% of my audience are men!
Men are afraid of female readers now too?
women's mentality: I don't like action and guns but I like thrillers
Exactly 💅🏻
