Alright, so the package came today and I am super impressed! 🤗 The teal pillowcase cover I ordered is so vibrant and soft on my hair. The scrunchy and headband I ordered are really nice too with good elastic. 👍 👍
For the whites: if you don't want them to become yellow, use this blue powder. You should check out Bernadett Banner's victorian guide to wash garments video, she uses this blue powder, you can buy it in stores to.
Very helpful video, thank you. For the slip dress at the end, you can wear it with a half slip undergarment and it won't stick to your legs. It might seem like something a granny would wear but it works. I think they come in different lengths too. 😊

Tip: Try Kinko’s unscented deodorant! I was a sweaty swamp monster too before discovering Kinko’s. It’s a roll-on so I use my blow dryer to dry it. I feel free now. I can lift my arms with no worries.

I deal with flareups on my knees .Anyway How tall are you for reference?.I do prefer over the knee .sometimes my psoriasis clears up.I might give it a try...Im 5'3 .around your size I think ....36 bust a 30 waist 37 hips....

@@adriiko That would be a nice present! I love the navy nightgown I bought. There's usually no harm in sizing up with silk, and it won't be too clingy. The size chart has been consistently reliable. I was true to size with a medium.
I might try adding a spray to my washing routine because I know some people use them for every wash. I generally avoid dry cleaners now if I can help it.

I don't think the quality is equal to certain brands that charge three times the price, but I think that's okay 😊I'm going to do a follow up video in a year to see how things have held up, but so far it's held up well as I've worn and washed it. I was confident enough to repurchase, especially since I wash it carefully. Hope that helps 😊

When I went back to look at the website, it was obvious from the model's photo that the one would be a bit see through. I really should have noticed. Hope this helps!

Thank you for watching! I live in an apartment, so I understand! I use a collapsable tiered drying rack to lay the dresses and blouses across. I bought mine at Target. They usually dry overnight, so I can put away the drying rack the next day. Happy holidays to you as well! :)
I had the same dress, as your red one, but in black. It was one of the most disappointing purchases from lilysilk. It didn't fit properly in the bust area (I had the same issues with it, as you did). I think it can work only for someone with small breasts (cup A, max B).
Ah I'm sorry to hear that. I completely agree, it's much better suited to an A or B cup. I gave it to a friend two months ago since it looked nice on her.

I read a while ago that the "recommended" amount on the cap is actually way more than we need. I would say the most important thing is using garment bags and making sure your washer's gentle cycle actually is gentle or hand washing it/steaming it to make it last longer!

I have asked questions on sizing etc and they will respond but they never answer the question correctly and they do not seem to be customer oriented. Their responses are very short and dont make sense which conveys a do not care attitude. That makes me wonder how items will fit, the quality and being able to easily return.

I've recently heard that returns are doable, but slow/difficult and that customer service is definitely spotty. I haven't had to return anything, so I can't speak from my own experience. Can I help you figure out sizing at all? Have you seen the size guides online? I used the body measurements listed, and compared them to mine. In my experience so far the actually garment has been 4cm larger than the top of the range. For example, the medium shirt is recommended for chest measurements between 91-96cm around. The actually shirt is 100cm around.

To me the quality for the price, especially if you get it on sale is 100% worth it. Like any brand some things fit better or design better than others. I have returned multiple things as well and have gotten a full refund within their two week from it being received back to them time frame. I have never had any trouble with the Customer service so maybe that is something to consider that is not consistent. Overall I would recommend shopping from the brand. The cashmere is absolutely amazing aswell!
I’m still not sure about lilysilk. My first order came in yesterday and the outside of all the garments feels very soft in one direction. But on the inside it is rough. Also, when I got my package in, it had to go through customs coming from China to the US. Well on the outside of the box the US customs has printed,”100% polyester contents”.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven't had any rough pieces. It's normal for a satin weave to be very smooth on one side and a different texture on the other. It's not supposed to be rough though, just not silky smooth. The company is based in China. I had the same tracking origin. That's definitely odd. I never had that printed on my packages. In response to the polyester rumors, I burned one of the pieces that didn't quite fit me well on insta, and used the leftover silk for a project. Polyester and silk burn completely differently since polyester is plastic. I didn't want to post that video on youtube because it felt very clickbait-y, but insta stories are only 24hrs. Sorry I can't be more help!
It's definitely more delicate than other fibers, but it depends on the item. For example these shirts are thicker and harder wearing than the dresses. It's easy to catch the fabric on something sharp (I'm careful when picking up my cats because their little claws will accidentally catch it). The friction of a leather crossbody strap can pull a thinner silk top. However I've had some silk for 5+ years and other vintage silk blouses that are much older and still in perfect condition.
I haven’t purchased from Lilysilk yet and I have 10% discount for first purchase. Can I use for the same purchase another discount (you tubers) together with 10%?
