- I wasn't happy with the performance of my 69, so I'm going to try a new cam. But its not just a matter of swapping the cams. Theres a few checks we have to do to ensure a proper installation.
Good, straightforward vid, Kid. Keep ' em coming.
Cool happy days reference. I can almost smell that funky gasket sealer. Thanks, I like learning something.
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Hey this is a really well made video
I don't watch Pacifc Mike, but will check him out. I found you for the Sporster content. This is a sweet video. Not too long, not too short. Thanks, I enjoyed it. I had no idea there was an H grind cam. My bikes are newer, I am getting the itch for an older bike though......
Check him out, he does a lot of old Harley stuff. Old bikes are fun but they do require a lot of attention.
Tatro would be sad you took the hot rod cam out man....lol.
Puppy!
Enjoyed the video … could I use the old compressed gasket instead of a new one for the measurements?
Sure, just double check all the clearances once its all together and verify everything is still in spec.
Do you have to replace the cam bushing when installing new cam? I'm about to do cam swap on my 67flh, the old cam bushing looks ok, just wondering if I could go with that
On the tightening of the cam cover.. wouldn't it be best to work from the inside outwards?
Yeah, more or less, just go back and forth, as long as it pulls down even
