This guy plays "There is a Fountain in B", so smooth with it! What are those chords?

Blessings to you, bro!!!! Wow!!!!! Such a vast and distinct honor!!!!!!!!!! I truly appreciate the love! And tremendous thanks for changing the world with this channel!!!
You are the man son! Your gift will always make room for you!!
B natural is my nemesis. You make me want to practice.
Proud wife over here! 💃🏾💃🏾 thanks for this feature. Great commentary!

Wow amen!!! 👏
@Mrs Granville, you have a right to be proud! Your husband is an amazing musician! I pray a long healthy, happy life for you and your family!!
🔥
That is how I want to play when I grow up.... (I'm 57 lol)
Dang what a performance.
Man!!! George Granville is amazing!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This video is a game changer for a lot of reasons, but mainly the key itself!! But beyond that, B is a key that gets avoided often, and he just so many moves and fullness into this key. This video is a blueprint of how to fill those obscure keys!! Going to find his IG as well! Whew!
funny how people avoid a key I love and I avoid a key everyone loves ( A ) lol!!! but well said .. this video is a game changer.. i love his voicing and changes..
@@joshmcdzz6925 yes sir1 So much to be learned from this!
I don’t see why B is a key that’s avoided. It’s probably one of the easiest natural keys to play in behind F. Being that so many players love Ab and Ab being the relative minor of B.
DEFINITELY 💯.
Dear musicians frankly speaking SIR SEAN is too good I don't know how ho does nd know all these things.😪 its tormenting me that one person can master their art this perfect they can hear nd execute things of this nature in real time.
Sean is just blessed so much! Wow how’s he able to decode all that???
My Lord
I hate I missed the live broadcast today Sean. Thanks for all you do.
This video just gave me weeks worth of new practicing. Thank you.
Pastor George Granville! This Man has been great +always! I had the pleasure of playing on a jazz ensemble with him back in college. Abrazo Hermano! #CLE
Lord im gonna be busy this week.
Love that moment to the key of Dmaj at the end. It’s the notion of a back door ii v…. ie. the movement of Emin to A7 to Bmaj
been following this guy, he is one hell of a player
Yeah, he insane
George Granville is an alien and quite frankly one of my favorite musicians. And of course he’s from the great state of OHIO!!!!
Lol
this is the kind of play that i really really like...Sean is a real "Nduna" as we call it here in South Africa ...He is able to decipher difficult voicings and chords with such ease...He is a real gentle piano beast in my view ...His willingness to share all of these difficult stuff with us as the general gospel piano public , is in fact a seed that he is sowing ...He will always reap great harvests .. He just gets better and better and better ...May God bless his willing heart 🙏🙏...I love all his breakdown videos ...
Comforting music.. Awesome. Sean, sir, you are brilliant!
Hell yeah that's why we subscribe to this channel 🙌
Oh Man ! Solid and tasteful moments in B major! Great new ideas! Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
this george granville is beastly. can you do some more of him. Never had a problem with b its like playing in A FLAT MINOR.
Smooth as silk...
“I’m gonna do one more section, but that’s not gone be it.” Sean you crazy 😜
Yeah lol, I did transcribe that section, but a breakdown would've taken too much time
This is just dope
Just amazes me to see you transcribe stuff so easily bro. Much much respect to you fam this is so helpful.
My God
Whew!
I honestly don’t think B or any black key is really hard. It’s just about muscle memory. I tend to have more issues in white keys but I learned to just play everything that I learned in the original key and the keys I struggle in such as A and D. Ultimately, it takes time, practice and financial investment. Can’t be cheap. Wish I could find a gospel teacher locally.
The key of B is technically black key 🤣🤣🔥🔥
@@shaunhlatshwayo9832 it really is.
Great one boss Sean
D’ya know what would be great with these videos. If you put up a chord chart of what the original chord progression should/would be (basic harmony outline) and then explain how the individuals have re harmonised it (which I know you already kind of do). Love the videos, your ear is MENTAL!
Beautiful
Waiting Prof
I play this also in the Department store.Im a classic pianist.I wrote some classical arrengements in Hymns
Ready
Ain't no way!!!
Bruh I can't tell you how much your Vids Help this "Old Dog" in music some new tricks :) Always enjoy your vids!!!!
I love playing hymns and trying to spice them up with different voicings in different key. This is really lovely and I love that use of those fourths chords from the 3 in chromatic movement. I don’t mind the key of B at all. Somehow the scale seems so easily identifiable in my mind.
However, Sean do you have anything you can do in the key of A? I struggle with it a bit I think it’s because of the mix of white and black notes in the scale that my brain has to work harder to figure out when trying to add voicings or mix things up a little. I know that not a lot of gospel songs are in this key but anything you could do in this key would be great. Your ‘ear’ and the work you do is again really appreciated by us all and is really helping me🙌🏾. Thanks again.
Thanks bro!
God in heaven, heavenly father, you have given men gift, help me.
Master Sean, I love your teachings but how do I grow to this point.
In my country we always learn the hard way.
Who told you there is an easy way? There is only one way. Consistent practice. Same in every country
Wole Oni, MasterKraft and SMJ did not learn by watching UA-cam videos...you need some real classical/jazz music theory and practice to get this level.
Hey Sean, thanks for the video. Could you also please do a breakdown of his video "Have Thine Own Way Lord" posted on his Instagram on 5th August. I'd be so grateful.
We can take a look
Is it me or did I miss that Mike Bereal link that you we’re supposed to put below 👇
Yeah, I uploaded this while in LA.. I'll add that stuff when I get back to FLorida
hi sean can you break down the first 11 seconds of the lords prayer by george grandville?

How many 1 on 1 lessons for your membership?
He does this while the nord is sitting casually to the right …This goes to show you that the board doesn’t matter💁♂️
Sounds like he is using the nord via midi tho
Should a musician have a favorite key, cuz i think that may lead you to using the transpose button
I think it happens naturally to gravitate to one key either because there are a lot of churches that sing mainly in one key or people just don’t try or are afraid. It’s more or less about practice and being dedicated. Nothing is wrong with transposing until something changes and then you’re embarrassed or unprepared.
I don't blame gospel musicians for playing in a few keys. Because we generally play in whatever keys the songs are that we have to learn. Going to other keys requires doing it on your own mostly
Thanks Sean I first heard the move from this marks cover ua-cam.com/video/FrjWqiCXVuE/v-deo.html now i ve finally got the mechanics of the move
I had to just turn this off and come back. I thought I was ready...
What's really sad about being a great instrumentalist, is NO ONE CARES OR APPRECIATES HOW GOOD YOU PLAY except OTHER MUSICIANS! That's your market as a musician is OTHER MUSICIANS. Women don't care, the average person doesn't care how good you play etc. Your only other market is possibly PEOPLE WITH MONEY...maybe.
Been thinking about this... the market for it isnt strong. And the average person cant really tell the difference between low skill high skill... this is just the market, but very interesting observation and worth studying
Kind Sir, I care and so appreciate.. Yes I do!.. May you have uncommon favor.. Many opportunities.. Best!! 😊.
I'm really far behind 😢😢😢
Not really bro… these guys are crazy, but the average musician can still be quite good
@@SeanWilsonPiano thanks for the encouragement 🙏🏾
I do appreciate his renditions ; but as a life long hymnologist just let me say that hymns can be embellished , but should only be slightly renovated' other wise they can lose their written tones...
This is just dope
