- Big Ant Studios is back with another Cricket game, following up on the underwhelming Cricket 22. Cricket 24 looks like a step up in terms of presentation, but it's not long before you face the same old game.
Despite more immersive scenes while playing and sometimes fun gameplay, the sequel suffers from a lack of polish, flat-looking environments, wooden players, missing teams and iffy AI. Career Mode hasn't made any meaningful strides forward, and the "overhauled" fielding amounts to very little.
It also doesn't help that promised features like Pro Team are completely missing without explanation. The available content is extensive, but unless you rely on the community to fill in the gaps, Cricket 24 is ultimately a swing and a miss. - Ігри
This game has reached it's limit under Big Ant.
In terms of Cricket games. Cricket 05, Cricket 07, Brian Lara Cricket 2005 & 2007 and Ashes 2009 were lightyears ahead of this game despite being old. What game developers are forgetting in general nowadays is that better graphics don’t automatically make it a better game

Big Ant is too stingy for its own good. Lack of licensing still hurts the brand. Graphics and animation also looks very dated and not much different from original Don Bradman 2014.
I think for the size of studio they are, they should stop focusing too much on licensing and focus more on the gameplay and the ability to better browse and download community created teams. I think that just might be a winning strategy for them
Big ant studios can take some inspiration and elements from MLB the show baseball game. That game feels superb in terms of hitting, ball physics and player animations. The physics in cricket 24 game look too artificial and wierd. Even when batsman just defends the ball it can race to boundary line as if it was hit very hard.
A big budget take of the game has happened....remember the lil tiny brand called Electronic Arts????

The sad thing is this will not sell in big numbers and they will put down to lack of interest in the sport, when it’s the presentation of the game & direction that is the problem. This is just cricket 22 with a update, not worth buying.
Seems like the camera hasnt been worked since dbc14.

Cricket looks really nice sport, it's almost like a baseball. This game looks nice I will like to buy and play this on my new Playstation 5. By the way I love games where you can customise your own character and made your own team like in these sport games like Cricket because im not interested of Nhl and Fifa (What is FC today). It was Brian Lara cricket 99 and then EA cricket 07. Brian Lara cricket was simplistic pure fun and Cricket 07 with its mechanics which were still a bit simplistic for modern times but comprehensive in their own right and also the cricket game with almost no bugs. Every thing else comes after that.
And worth mentioning here is for multiplayer the best one was Cricket Revolution. Back then it was insanely fun although I couldn't play it because it was on Steam and I didn't have any way to play it on my own PC. But Cricket Revolution was rebolutionairy indeed for its time.
@@nayyarrashid4661 most of the games back in the say were bug free, mostly since there was little possibility to provide updates over the air, look those good old times. Cricket revolution had some of the best cricket shots, sad that it was just a one off thing, it could have gotten bigger
I still play that game lol. It rewards you for playing well and it’s satisfying to play
Bugs are everywhere in this game even the ball going though the bat even though u hit it on the replay .

You do realise Cricket is a way, way more popular sport right? There is an actual World Cup happening right now with International teams meanwhile Baseball has a “World” series that is contested by domestic teams. When you look at it that way Baseball is a poor man’s cricket…… the funny thing is I actually like Baseball but Cricket is far superior in terms of global development of the sport

A lot of people care about both. I am in US and I definitely care about playing a cricket game but these new games ruin the feel of the game. Now I am trying to get Brian Lara run on my laptop.
A cricket world cup is happening right now. Look it up and learn a little. Your country is not the only one in the world.
Cricket is far more popular than any american sport not to mention way more countries play it. Cricket has an actual World Cup every 4 years that international teams compete for which is happening as we speak….. Baseball has a World Series played by domestic teams 😂…. Same goes for Rugby which also happens to have a World Cup going on right now
