    For those wondering, he's applying his finger to the air-inlet so that a more fuel-rich mixture enters the cylinder and heats it up, making it easier for the engine to start. Essentially, he's using his index finger as a choke.

      There are a bunch of tiny engines you can build. You can build a 2 cylinder, 4, v6 v8...different variations and sizes and you can build an electric one or fuel. The kits are freaking awesome. You can also build one that runs like a real engine or just an engine model. I've been looking into these lately because I want to build one. Just can't decide what one.

      Carbs are incredibly simple and efficient. Its basically its own restrictor plate for older engines..
      Like the old ford 4.9L straight six maybe 130hp and 220tq but carb/intake swap it and it now makes 250+ horsepower

      ​@idabomb00 I have a limited knowledge about small engines but I believe that he uses his finger over the tube as a choke, the same way a carb is choked to start a cold engine, restricting oxygen and allowing more fuel into the mix.. maybe that's what he was referring to

      Engine have big metal box called cylinder. Inside cylinder, there is tiny fire. Fire is very hot. Hot fire make things move.
      Engine need fuel. Fuel go into engine, mix with air. Air and fuel make big boom! Boom push piston up and down.
      Piston connected to rod. Rod connected to crankshaft. Crankshaft spin round and round.
      Crankshaft connected to wheels. Wheels turn. Car go vroom vroom!
      That how engine work

      Some engines are naturally smoother because the forces and be countered. Like more cylinders and offset each other, making it smoother

      ​@@abdullahbhatti9572When the piston goes backwards, it pulls in fuel, and because of the way its attached to that wheel inn the back, if its turning itll push the piston back forward and compress the fuel in there and a peice called a spark plug will make a spark and make it ignite, making a small explosion that pushes the piston back, and as the piston goes back it sucks out the used fuel and smoke and draws in new fuel so it can start all over again. Thats how engines work and it does it hundreds of times a minute, basically turning the piston going back and forth into a rotation which make wheels spin so you can drive!

      @@nagamanikomarla5376i was in an Engineering Academy all throughout hs. They taught us leverage, material efficiency, machine physics, ect. They never taught one thing about engines, you know why? Because that’s not engineering curriculum, that’s automotive curriculum.

      When you press a throttle it opens your carburator or fuel injector to push a fuel air mixture into the cylinder which gets ignited by the spark plug it isn't necessarily more air it's more of a air and fuel mixture getting thrown in that's how a engine works

    i dont think ive ever seen somebody make not only a single cylinder swashplate engine, but one thats open and clear. very unique build
