The thing that I think about the whole pervert issue, is that you have to remember, that being a perv does not automatically make you a bad person. If female anime characters are to be believed, EVERY male protagonist is a pervert. He could be a dead serious guy who is too angsty to look at women or make lewd comments, and someone important to him will think he's a pervert. He could be a sweet guy who has so much respect for women that he allows them to beat him to a pulp regularly, and he's still a pervert somehow. It's as if being a teenager is a crime. What's more messed up is that even though many women believe he's a pervert, they still fight over him and do humiliating things just to get his attention. Anime confuses me, but I love it.

The thing that I think about the whole pervert issue, is that you have to remember, that being a perv does not automatically make you a bad person. Being a rapist or child molester does make you a bad person. However, I don't think being a pervert makes someone evil. Two examples I can point to (one fictional and one real) are Vince Masuka from TV's Dexter, and George Carlin. Vince had a really dirty mind, and was constantly making off color remarks towards Dexter's sister Deborah. At the end of the day though, he was a good person, who despite all his flaws, was a sweetheart in his own strange way. Same goes for Seven Dirty Words Carlin. One of the most perverted minds in modern comedy. Was he bad? Not at all. So that is what I think when I see what seems to be people suggesting that being a pervert, automatically makes you an evil person. It all depends on wether you act on your perverted fantasies (which I notice that a lot of these dickheads seem to do) or wether you keep them as all talk.
