No the dash doesn't show which cylinder its misfiring either you can use a scanner, the one i use its launch x431 but if this is a one of, may be not worth buying a launch, the other method would be to disconnect the connectors at the coil and see which one doesn't make it worse. you just need to pull the connector out a little if the misfire gets worse then you put it back in and one of them will make no difference and that would be your misfiring cylinder.
I have the same car yesterday misfire happened when I was accelerating at high rpm, I cleared the code and switched the car on/of again. It drove Great at Low rpm no misfire but as soon as I accelerate I Get a misfire
Your issue may be cause by the crankcase breather hose, very common it goes spongy and causes car to stall rough idle misfire etc, check this vid and check you hose if not may be another issue. ua-cam.com/video/fCEXoZlrL8I/v-deo.html
Removed the spark plug and found it drenched in oil, very much oil was dripping from the tip. All other spark plugs were completly dry . Maybe I broke a seal
I am having a problem with my W203 M271 engine. The 1st spark plug has been stuck and all i replace are the remaining 3. How do I remove the stuck spark plug without damaging anything on the head. My cars performance gets affected as sometimes when I press down the accelerator the car has a rough idle and engine surging.
Spray wd40 down there and let it soak, that might help a lot. But let soak for a day or so. But you may be having an issue with the breather pipe from what you described.
In my car it shows misfire at all 4 and doesn't run smoothly when i try to keep a stable speed I changed the sparkles and coils and still has it. When i speed up or take my foot of the gas pedal it doesn't show problem Only when i keep the pedal stable to keep speed stable No one is figuring out where is the issue and it is really stressing Any idea?
Mine starts fine but if i keep it on idle it starts to misfire then I have to switch it off and on again then the misfire disappears but only when I accelerate as soon as I stop on idle it misfires again
Hi, my Name is Des, I have a 2006 model w203 c200k.. I am experiencing the same problem only on number 3 cylinder. The miss fire is only noticeable when in gear at low ravs.. Up have redone my whole engine with the engineers, block and head. Replace coil packs, injectors, plung, checked electrical harnesss, almost every thing mechanical and electrical has been scrutinize but still pick up miss fire on cylinder 3..what else possible that we can check?? 🙆♀️
@@thesiganmoodley257 ok the only other thing may be to check the wiring loom going into the coil pack since you already fitted new coil packs and spark plugs. I had an audi a1 where the electrical connection to the coil was playing up so sometimes would cause a misfire.
Excellent... Very informative and simple to understand.. Thank you
You welcome 🙏
Where we find which coil misfire. Any special scanner or it's showing on dashboard screen.

@@DaringBeefcake I have already riplaced that crappy pipe some time ago
@@nerdylicious1814 oh I see, though you had already checked coils and plugs. Yes you might need a rocker cover gasket in any case..

Are there any fault codes ? Have you checked the breather pipe, and well it could be having a fuel issue rather than electrical.
@DaringBeefcake it shoes also the first exhaust sensor but i dont know if that affects
I have had this issue for over a month
@@serxheniomuca5913 are you talking about the Oxygen sensor 02 lambda ? what are the fault codes ? the o2 sensor can cause problems sometimes.
Did it misfire when u where accelerating? And when u stopped at a light was the car shaking and vibrating?
Not in this car, this one was just misfiring as far as I remember..

sounds like the breather hose may need to be checked. that sometimes causes misfires..
where do i buy those same coil sparks?
A quick search online will reveal plenty of options 😌
Was the misfire only on cold?
yes it was it would disappear after, equationally it wasn't there at all and other times it was there all the time, but coil packs cured it.

Hi Des have you checked the fuel injectors ? i had one that was leaking slightly and caused a misfire..
@@DaringBeefcake HI Daring, I moved the injectors around and the fault still comes up on cylinder 3 miss fire..

@@thesiganmoodley257 brilliant :)
Should we disconnect the battery before changing the coils?
You can if you want but if there isn't anyone cranking the engine while you work i dont think there is a need...
