The Bruch G minor concerto is a true jewel of the violin literature. The earnestness of Grumiaux's delivery, his silvery sound, his elegant--but powerful--phrasing, the perfect emotional pacing he achieves...all of it makes this my absolute favorite recording of this piece. The New Philharmonia Orchestra, under Heinz Wallberg, are perfectly balanced to M. Grumiaux, and deliver--brilliantly--a couple of the most glorious tuttis ever written for an orchestra in a concerto.
Why is it only me who thinks this recording is the most stupendous, sublime performance of this outrageously extravagant and moving piece of genius?
orchestra is wonderful, too😊
sempre e um prazer ouvir grumiaux.
A PERFORMANCE - among a very few others - FOR ETERNETY!
Gorgeous!
+racheleleeba hi
+racheleleeba Thank you for kind comment !
Grumiaux , Ferras, en mi opinión son las mejores versiones de este concierto.
Very musical and personal interpretations, happily this time not in the " Heifetz- mood". Wallberg was an underrated and very good conductor....
great
+Neueregel Thank you very much ! :-)
"Of the Franco-Belgian school, Arthur Grumiaux is considered to have been one of the few truly great violin virtuosi of the twentieth century." From AllMusic website. All has been said.
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly lost my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
