Firstly thank you for this overview of the M cars - particularly the M3cs. In the intervening period between this video and now, I made a decision to move out of my 5th Audi (B6, RS4, A4 Tdi, A6 biturbo) to a BMW - first time since 1974 when i bought a 3.0Si (you may not even remember it!). So I was heading for an Audi S4 - but when I saw the dumbing down of this model, I then saw the release of the M340i BMW. I inquired about the touring version and then drove the saloon, then immediately ordered the first import to NZ of the M340i touring xdrive. I have now owned it for 5 months. It is the best car I have ever had - (including the B7 Audi RS4.) It is a phenomenal product in fact I think it is the pick in the BMW range value for money. Your designers have produced an incredible engine in that B58 - the power and torque curves are perfect for what I use the car. The sliding cams combined with the control mechanism make this engine a complete standout. You still produce the best motors. (Even in 1974 they were pretty revolutionary!). And the sound - awesome. Well done! I'm back!
I guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me
It's about time. Comfort seems to be the key formula BMW missed. So, it's no surprise that potential BMW owners would find the M5 CS amazing. BMW for a long time lost the knack they had with their old 535i. In case, BMW haven't noticed most people seek that magic carpet-like ride. Even in the bike world, the Colnago C40 was ultimate! Why? Even through cobblestones, it offered a magic carpet-like ride. It is a shame what BMW been putting out. Their x3 seats and M3 seats were horrible. No lower back support and sparsely padded cushions with no shoulder support and horrendous lower back support. I am convinced BMW does not know how to make seats at all. They should contract with Recaro or Sparco. The best seats that are standard in the market...Volvo, Benz, Audi, Porsche and even VW. They have absolutely no problem proving customers the best seats out there. BMWs $10k + racing buckets are a joke when Sparco SPX and Recaro makes superior anatomically seats for less. BMW doesn't care. By now, a car enthusiasts would know, the best suspension available predominantly come with Nitrogen filled enclosures whether it is coilovers like Nitron R3 or the Citroen's spheres. Even Rolls Royce, Bentley and even McClaren were wise enough to contract with Citroen to offer the best suspension ...out there. Approximately 2018 Citroen dropped the Active pneumatic suspension. Did BMW pick it up to revolutionize it? Nope. They did absolutely nothing. The pneumatic suspension was one of the most advanced suspension of all time at anywhere. However, BMW was quick to release the most dangerous turn signal design of all time. They were in line to release red turn signal lamps. They were always on the bandwagon to break safety traditions to implement dangerous trends. So, to believe BMW care about comfort or safety? I would say ...no.

Good choice on the M340i. But just a correction, we don't work for BMW :) So they are not our designers :)
Can you send it to BMW or give me an email address.?

Why can’t M launch a super car to rival the AMG GTR and the Audi R8 V10+
They can but remember that they are a business so there are a lot of considerations
B Josef the 850i pretty much does and when they make a M version it definitely will
Not worth the extra 30k,unless you're a collector.
Have you driven one? This is the M3 to have. This what the M3 should have been from the beginning
@@bmwblog I own a 2018 f80 and it's perfect, there's no addition needed in my opinion. How perfect can you make a perfect vehicle 😍?

Not exactly given that it's produced in limited numbers.

Agreed, limited runs should only ever be for halo cars. BMW could've cashed in with the CS in auto, and manual transmission.
