- Let's have a New Year's Resolution chat, shall we? Today I'm sharing my 2024 message, my new year's 'resolution,' and why we don't have to change ourselves when seeking out our resolutions. I haven't done a talking/ chat vlog in a whole year, but it's nice to sit down and have a full conversation with you all. What are your New Year's resolutions for 2024? Do you have any? In Jan '23, I decided to lost weight. At my last doctor check in Nov '23, I had lost 73 pounds. Moreover, I am continuing my journey in 2024. Happy 2024 to you. Enjoy your content especially your outings in NYC.

Love this. A few weeks ago....well probably a month ago, I started to prioritize me first, which speaks to your quote. This year, I'm continuing to put me first, and what does not serve me is not for me.
Ive been watching your channel for a minute now and this conversation for me couldnt have come at a better time. I need to start allowing myself to say yes to the unknown and not be stuck in the same rut. I feel the need to live authentically now (coming out to my family) and I need to do it on my terms finally. Long comment (sorry lol) but I do want to say thank you for this video and for all the content you share with us.

In 2023 I'm proud that I learned to listen better to my underlying emotions and instincts. Also reconnected more to my true personality, not the beat-up and worn version that adulthood and surroundings tried to impose on me. In 2024 I want to be adventurous, live healthier and seek balance.

I definitely identified with the losses… My maternal grandfather, passed in April 2023 at age 103… We had just came back from the Bahamas 🇧🇸 then my paternal grandmother passed in September 2023 from dementia at age 91… Losing both of my grands in the same year has been rough, but they are in a better place

I stopped doing New Year's Resolutions quite a long time ago, I am more go with the flow. One thing I am proud about in 2023 was starting the process of getting my passport. Something that I have been postponing for sometime, due to work and other things, but felt that this was the time to do the things that I have been holding off. I don't do resolutions, I do goals. This past year has been an emotional roller coaster. Summer was WONDERFUL, my boyfriend was wonderful to me. Then mom had a mini stroke in July and her health took a nosedive. I find myself caring for her almost 24/7 since September. The boyfriend dumped me on December 3rd by a TEXT message! How to you spell A-hole? December and the holidays have been bleak. I was supposed to spend them with him in Georgia and I had a non -refundable airline ticket home. Well, I lost a bunch of money on that ticket since I could not use it. It's been hard, I have cried so much lately and my grief is hard to bear at times. This year, I am not sure what my goal will be, maybe just surviving. Sigh.... Thanks for your videos Q, I really enjoy them and they do give me a respite from the goings on in my life. Wish Wilson a Happy New Year and I look forward to more from you. I liked the chat vlog. Chuck
People who care about you don't do things like that so look at it in a positive way. At least you didn't Marry the creep. As for your Mom I can relate cause I went through the same thing with my Mom for a year taking care of her until she passed away from Cancer. As a caregiver for a parent you need some time away for yourself because it can consume you. Wishing you the best in 2024 !

My resolution for 2024 is to travel a lot more. All I do is work. It’s a blessing. But I need more out of life at this point.

My first resolution this year is to do one thing better in 24 than 23. My second resolution is to try to figure out why my relationship with my middle son even though I do the most things with him has drifted further away . I know 13 almost 14/ is a tough time because even with my oldest son I had to learn better parenting but we went from close to cold and I need to figure out where it went wrong

There's still so much I want in life and I wish I did more but it's really not too late and I realize that enjoying the moment every moment is the way to go. That's all we have is the here and now. I've been feeling so grateful the past few years and I realize how short life is. You are the best of people Quincy. You help me feel less alone in my journey and more motivated to live. My grandparents are all so old and some passing away still. Sad to see that generation go. 😞 But we gotta go on. Covid brought emotional and mental breakdowns but hopefully that has passed. Hey Quincy! I’m interested in vlogging my life here in Tampa as well. Can you share what camera you typically shoot on? What software you use for editing? What mic you use? Anything for someone who also wants to vlog? Idc for views. I just want to do it for myself
Hey Ivan! I use my iPhone 11 (need a new one), Sony zv-1 mark II, and just got the dji osmo pocket 3 (used in the first Xmas vlog). The mic I used came with the osmo pocket 3. I’d recommend that for a vlogging camera, but it’s a bit pricey. If that’s of no concern, try it out, but for a long time I just used my iPhone until a started to get used to vlogging and did it more consistently. I use Final Cut Pro and sometimes just iMovie for editing, if it’s a simple vlog. I’d say just start vlogging anything, and see how the edit comes out! It’s fun to try different things. Good luck!
