    This would benefit from a double
    Check valve on the cold supply in, on this job, it had one off the outside tap. ❤

    Tee the 2 dump outlets together Dan, to use 1 dump hose. Thats what I've done and it works great. cheers.

    Like it, very professional, and well explained. Just done my open vent system, with a hose in a toilet(dump) on one rad. leg, etc. Not been done in thirty year! The sh1t that came out made your dump water look like the finest spring water. Always like your videos, very informative. Peace and goodwill.

      Thank you Martin, haha yeh the older the system the better results. I can’t wait to try this on something similar.

    Thanks mate. I’m definitely making this. The prv is a great idea. My mate used his Thorough flush, in an area with 6 bar pressure, and caused a load of leaks. Excellent Video bruvva. Thanks

    Great video, Dan.
    I made something similar a couple of years ago, with four butterfly valves arranged in a square, with compression tees at each corner; one corner to water in ( via pressure reduction valve) one to dump, and the other two to flow and return.
    Like yours, it seems to work pretty well.

    I’ve also built myself a reversible flushing valve setup. I used two L port valves which means to reverse the flow I only have to operate two levers. This means I can quickly change the direction of flow. I’m not a plumber or heating engineer but like to do as much stuff as I am allowed legally. I may even post a UA-cam video of my contraption.

    Personal preference but you could use the pegler butterfly valves to make the levers a bit tidier. Impressive gadget and I'd imagine a fair bit cheaper than a thorough flush unit. Id have a brass hose lock too just because im a tart😂

    • @Heatking

    Instead of using a mallet as a agitator use a cheap body rechargeable massager off of Amazon has various heads has 30 speeds and usb recharge works a treat plus if u have a blocked waste trap put it on the trap section whack away on the trap lower seal at a moderate speed 30 seconds and if your lucky it will clear .

    You need a second dump hose or link to the dump hose together with an additional lever valve. But the idea is top notch
    Also did you fit the air separator with the arrow pointing away from the boiler. I could be wrong but it looked like it was pointing towards it ?

    • @Heatking

  • @TooMuchInfoSir
    @TooMuchInfoSir 11 місяців тому +1

    Not a plumber but i like to solve problems. Could you not use an L port valve for the cold feed and then join the dumps together. And using 15mm or half bore as the pressure from any hose outlet is never going to need full bore? (when watching other plumbers ive always wondered why not build your own #pb) Good work!
