well my Korean friends took me to boshintang restaurant once and I didnt know what I was eating... I've seen several boshintang restaurants in Seoul. It's not as popular as beef or pork or chiken, but you can easily find places on google that serve dog meat and some places are pretty popular.

in north india too, options are unlimited. almost every single savory street food is vegan and the daily meals which is rice, daal (lentil soup), sabzee (spiced up vegetables on side) or roti (flatbread) with ANY kind of sabzee all the different varities are vegan. poha, paratha, etc things are vegan
India just needs to work a bit on the hygiene level otherwise our food is the best tasting and clean. The food these people eat is completely hyped up, a lot of their noodles are cancerous, from different sauces etc.

One thing I love about Korean ingredient lists is that they put in bold beef/pork/chicken along with the allergens. It made it so much easier to check if a product had meat in it and saved me a lot of time not having to read through the whole list in Hangul

I'm vegetarian and can't eat most of korean food, but bro thought of this dish is killing me 😭 Edit: Guys I'm Indian and I once tried Veg Jajamengyon in Delhi and it was awful in taste and awfully expensive. I'm pretty sure it's because it's not supposed to be veg. Second thing I tried was kimchi which was not fermented properly. We have a place in the Philippines called Vegan, but their specialty there is pork 😂😂😂 empanadas , langonisa / susages, bagnet and they also love lechon 😂😂😂 , but then again we don't see that much negros in Negros Oriental either 😓
I had bibimbap once, and me and my friends had the egg seperated since i cant eat egg.. I was so excited cause the entire dish looked so good, but once i ate some of the mushrooms I really didnt feel like finishing it. I feel like there was just too much salt for me to take 🥲🥲 Kimbaap is rlly good tho, with the sauce they gave us, it really tasted like idli and sambar to me 😂

Its actually Not that hard to bea vegan in Seoul There are many vegan Restaurants und you can eat bibimbap without the egg, kimbap without egg or meat or Japchae. You only need a few words in Korea to get around. Also Koreans are very respectful and give their best to help U out with finding Something vegan to eat

My vegetarian friend told me a story when he returned back from a business trip in Korea. He told that they went to a Restaurant and he wanted to order something vegetarian. Since he didn't understand Korean, he let his Korean colleagues order for him after communicating to them that he wanted something vegetarian. They brought a whole chicken with a lot of rice. When they returned, he said that he can't eat meat including chicken. So, the restaurant ended up removing the chicken and served him the leftover plain white rice.
I’ve heard that in Korea “meat” refers to mammals essentially - so chicken and fish are not considered meats. So when asking for vegetarian foods you need to mention “only vegetables” or list all the types of meats you don’t want - I looked it up cause I don’t eat meat either haha
I'm vegan and I LOVE Korean food! ❤️ There are lots of vegan Korean chefs on UA-cam and I also bought a few books. My favorites to make are tteokbokki, rabokki, kimchi, braised tofu (or any kind of tofu, really) and Sundubu-jjigae 😋 now I hungry. Bibimbap is also super easy to veganize, either by removing the egg, or you can also add fake meat/tofu. Yummy!
Yesss i love cooking korean food. So many dishes are naturally already Vegan. For kimchi I just use a vegan fish sauce. And for anchovy stock I use vegan dashi granules. So many Vegan sweets too. Just made some chapssal donuts for the first time. Soooo good 😋

Edit: Guys I'm Indian and I once tried Veg Jajamengyon in Delhi and it was awful in taste and awfully expensive. I'm pretty sure it's because it's not supposed to be veg. Second thing I tried was kimchi which was not fermented properly. Maybe I should try another restaurant and thanks for the suggestions 😃☺️ I'm going to try gimbap for sure ☺️

I had bibimbap once, and me and my friends had the egg seperated since i cant eat egg.. I was so excited cause the entire dish looked so good, but once i ate some of the mushrooms I really didnt feel like finishing it. I feel like there was just too much salt for me to take 🥲🥲

Its actually Not that hard to bea vegan in Seoul There are many vegan Restaurants und you can eat bibimbap without the egg, kimbap without egg or meat or Japchae. You only need a few words in Korea to get around. Also Koreans are very respectful and give their best to help U out with finding Something vegan to eat
Honestly? It is really hard. And no there aren’t many vegan restaurants, not when compared to major western cities at least. Most restaurants in Korean won’t have anything you can eat as a vegan (and that could count as a full meal) and there is very little cultural awareness and acceptance of vegetarianism/veganism

My vegetarian friend told me a story when he returned back from a business trip in Korea. He told that they went to a Restaurant and he wanted to order something vegetarian. Since he didn't understand Korean, he let his Korean colleagues order for him after communicating to them that he wanted something vegetarian. They brought a whole chicken with a lot of rice. When they returned, he said that he can't eat meat including chicken. So, the restaurant ended up removing the chicken and served him the leftover plain white rice.

I'm vegan and I LOVE Korean food! ❤️ There are lots of vegan Korean chefs on UA-cam and I also bought a few books. My favorites to make are tteokbokki, rabokki, kimchi, braised tofu (or any kind of tofu, really) and Sundubu-jjigae 😋 now I hungry. Bibimbap is also super easy to veganize, either by removing the egg, or you can also add fake meat/tofu. Yummy!

Yesss i love cooking korean food. So many dishes are naturally already Vegan. For kimchi I just use a vegan fish sauce. And for anchovy stock I use vegan dashi granules. So many Vegan sweets too. Just made some chapssal donuts for the first time. Soooo good 😋
