Hey bud, I’m a General Contractor. Drill two 1/4” holes at the bottom of each block, one for each cavity space. That block is saturated with water back there so the only to get rid of the water is draining them. Believe me when i say cinder blocks hold a LOT of water.

I’m a roofer and we use knee pads religiously. So much so everytime I do anything working on the floor I can’t go without. If u don’t using them soon you’re going to regret it bro. And especially if u keep doing it without pants. You’re going to end up with elephant or rhino skin knees. Jus tryin to look out for u in the long run. Keep up the fire content 🫡
Make sure you oil the head spring on your overhead doors. They are meant to move and the paint will lock them up and they will crack and explode into pieces.
I’m a Garage Door Tech. It will not explode into pieces and usually breaks in half. What the paint does it interferes with the smoothness up & down and to fix that is lubricating the spring with a Garage Door Lube from Lowes or Home Depot. I’ll definitely hit all the hinges and rollers with some lubricant and the inner tracks.
@wethepeople7629 those springs were rusty. I have seen the springs Crack and pieces go flying. Just because you haven't experienced it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. It's not common, but it does happen. PS. I was an overhead door and operater installer for years.
I think the transformation looks great. I would add a welding station, also a vice. And some fire extinguishers placed throughout the shop. Keep up the great content!
Your garage looks great mate, but one question, is this floor you installed fire proofed? When you will be welding or grinding, it won’t get on fire? I’m thinking to install one but not sure yet😁

100% recommend clearing that loft space and just utilizing it for storage or temporary storage for over-sized parts. Things like hoods, for example. Having a place to keep them out of the way and safe is certainly invaluable.
Looks great but your theory about floor epoxy is wrong. It's applied like paint and doesn't flow out. You're thinking of something like an epoxy bar top
The problem with your block wall is efflorescence, where moisture is seeping through the block and leaving a mineral salt coating. The only way to solve it is to find where the moisture is coming from, stop it, and then dry and seal the outside of the block.
Massive improvement to the shop, but the walls would have been better white or a lighter color. That way, they would have reflected the light more and you could see your tools in the rack better.
Walls looks great. But those floor tiles are absolute junk. They're only good for storage units or garages that don't have so much foot and tire traffic. You will absolutely hate them and get rid of them in the next few weeks when they start getting stuck onto your tires and they rip it all out 😂 Stupid decision, Ive had them lol complete trash! 👎
If you tried to paint the outline of the bricks with white paint, I think it would be even nicer. Anyway, it was a very good job, the shop changed perfectly, it turned out beautiful
Paint is always good for electrical outlets and the door rollers. Lol! Also, no more washing cars n the shop. The water will mold under those tiles. Great video!
It looks awesome! My only issue with these tiles is they trap water underneath. But they are surely good solution for a place which you rent and you can take them with you!. For home garage, I'd go with different route :)

The next thing after all that updating is SECURITY. You just showed every crook every tool you have along with those new tool boxes. This is going to be biggest problem. Make sure you are insured.....
Love the new look. I will say, I have that floor in my garage. It’s great. But water and heavy spills will get under the tiles. And bro, some advice from an old guy. Do not leave your power tools out in the open view for all to see. People are sometimes criminals of opportunity. If it’s easily accessible and worth some money. They will steal it. Get some Home Depot Husky lockable cabinets. Put your Milwaukee gear in the cabinet. Trust me, you can’t be in there 24/7.

🌴 Ahhhh, those tiles are just gonna get in the way for your roller tool cabinets and table, and then if you spill anything ,oil , antifreeze , it’s trapped under it , I’d just paint the floor with some gloss grey enamel , if it gets messed up you can always touch it up , and plus you could have sprayed it to. The epoxy would have been the way to go 👈🏼👍🏼, 😼 were’s my litter box !

What a long and drawn out commercial. One of the longest ever. All so you can get free tiles and assorted equpment. It is a damn shame you did not give that poor Mustang even a fraction of the love this transformation took. I remember when you moved into this place and you were boasting about how clean and tidy you were going to keep it because you were proud of it. Three weeks later, it was a midden, lol. I am sure this will go the same way. One thing I learned is that there is NEVER enough room for stuff. Ever. The more storage you have, the more stuff you store, ad-infinitum. Saying all that though Ben, it does look really good. A very nice workshop I am sure anybody would be proud to have. You have done really well. I beg that you give that Mustang to someone who is ready to put in the work to undo all the crap you did to it, and make it good again. I bet you could not sell it for any price apart from scrap value but there will be someone willing to take off your hands though. I still wake up in horror at what you did to it. It had such potential but you then thought it was a good idea not to go original like you stated when you got it. DOing it properly you would have been really close to getting it done by now and you would have had yourself a 'Stang for people to admire.
Ben, are you going to put a rack system in? Given your talent, one would expect such a piece of equipment. I know they are expensive, but it would not take long to earn its money back. You should glue the pieces in front of your roller doors so dirt doesn’t get under and cause them to lift….
Maybe put up a header over the spare parts on top of the bathrooms/office area and hang banners to cover the spare parts.
