I was very fortunate as a kid to grow up in Tega Cay. Not to many people around that can remember when Tega Cay Drive was partially a dirt road. I used to catch 8-10 pound bass all day long both at the pond off Suwarrow Circle and the pond located near the old golf course which is now the NEW course. Even Ralph Hughes couldn't out fish me or my father in the 80's. Wonderful memories.
Thanks for this video. Wayyy back in the 90s when I drove from VA to Univ of SC on I-77, I would see the sign for Tega Cay and wonder what is Tega Cay? All these years later, thanks to this video, I see it is really really NICE!
Some of the worst built houses in York County, were built in Tega Cay. Long, before they were housing inspections, in York County, S. C. The water and sewer system was a nightmare. It has been upgraded... to some extent. The older parts of Tega Cay, you wanna to stay out of for sure. When Hurricane Hugo came through. They were cleaning up people's yard. Expecting FEMA to pay for it. Well, FEMA only pays for the road right away to be cleaned cleaned up. Not folks yards. Before you buy anything in Tega Cay, you better do a whole lot of homework. Complete Home Inspection title search The Whole Nine Yards. There is no doubt Tega Cay, is a beautiful place and a wonderful place to live. But, buyer beware.
