      Most cities aren't all that far from country towns and forests and such. Just research and plan accordingly for whatever locale is intended. Or even most local.🤳✍️👍

      @@ricky4497 Good point! I might actually do this.
      Only problem is, you need a license to fish and a permit to camp. It's even illegal to build a campfire (even without lighting it) unless you have a permit.
      Fishing license is $160, camping permit is only $8 but it's a 6 month wait to book a campground visit, a permit to build/light/maintain a fire is free at least.
      Still, even with all that, it's probably worth it.

    i used to really like catching trout in the wild and cooking them on the little camp fire. i never did cook one on a stick but would wrap them in foil and put near the coals or in a pan. i can still taste the trout now.

    ive done exactly this many times lol but i prefer bluegill* potta bones but tasty! and garlicSalt is also the simplest best seasoning.! its all u need! but i scale em and leave guts for nature* i like castmasters for a Lot! works on everything!? otherwise live worms! 😁👍🏻

    Can you show us how to catch fish in a survivalsituation with a self made fishing rod? I'm writing a survivalguide book for myself wich i'll take with me everywhere i go just in case i somehow need to survive on my own and i'd like tips on how to make myself a fishing rod in these type situations.     We use to do this in the 60s at farm ponds. Some of the best fish I ever ate were bluegills we caught threw in aluminum with margarine salt and pepper. We ate that then ate C rations from the Korean War. lol

    When i was a kid, I always imagined doing this using only one of those huge knives from the Rambo movies. Unscrew a cap in the handle to reveal some line and a few hooks.

    Cool video. I feel spoiled having grown up and still living in Montana. The trout meat is always nice and pink or orange like a salmon. Do you have warmer water temps there? Noticed the meat was really white. Most the time the fish are soft when they are white, but could be different where you are located. Thanks for the entertainment 👍

    Looks like a #4 hook.Thats what I use in combo with a night crawler and one kernel of corn on the end.Bump it a few times and WHAM!!!
