great tutorial!, no music soothing voice and very clear instructions! thanks so much for taking the time to share this pattern. Love the granny stitch in all forms♥
Love how the sweater looks on you! I really like the long sleeve, too! Congratulations on this and all the other tutorials you have posted this year. I’m sure you have helped alot of people expand their crochet skills!!
Yesterday I wore your sweater and it was a big success (also in the office) Thank you for your tutorials, you are very clear and precise! Greetings from Berlin (Germany)
Hi Sarah! I'm so glad that you found this tutorial helpful and that you completed your garment! So happy for you! Did you go for long sleeves or short sleeves?
Thank you so much for your help 😊 In the end I decided to do the sweater because I like yours so much! I think I'm going to make the armhole a bit deeper though because I like a slightly wider sleeve. So I have to rip some. I'm so delighted with this pattern 😍 Beautiful work 😍 ❤
It would make the garment larger. You could start with the same stitch count and try it on as you go to make sure you are liking the fit. It may also affect drape a little bit depending on the fiber of your worsted weight yarn
Hey! This is an amazing tutorial, thank you so much! What would you say the size of this sweater is? I want to make one for myself, but I want to make sure I make my size. Thanks!

@@yvonnemccutcheon2667 I only created this one size, I explain more about it in the blog post (found in the description box). The Given neckline is 8 flat without rib (16" circumference) if using the hook size and yarns mentioned in the video/blog post. If this neck size works for you, but you need a wider garment, work more rounds before separating for the sleeves.
Hello I love this I'm making now. Question I'm catching hell with the extended stitch it keep coming out looking like 2 stitches so I just ch3 is that ok
yes the standing single crochet indeed looks like two single crochets one on top of the other, but using a ch3 is not a problem at all, just remember that it counts as a stitch. What colors are you making yours?
Hi, I used a total of 405 g of yarn to make my sweater. Unfortunately I don't have the quantities for each color. In the blog post you will find each of the colors used.
Yes, your first granny stitch row divides the top for shoulders, front and back. Your front and back should have the same number of stitches, and your shoulders should also have the same number of stitches.
Hi! Great tutorial. However my jumper is sticking out a lot at the back and always does when I make a jumper. What should I do to fix this? Is this normal? Thanks
@@crochetcakes the front lays flat and looks like a normal jumper, but when I turn to the side I can see thy the back is sticking out a lot, like most of the fabric is gathering at the back. Please note though I haven’t fully finished and haven’t added the ribbing. Would adding this get rid of that? And washing it, would washing it flatten it out? It is sticking out very much
@@elise-willis0444 Hi Elise, one more question. Did you crochet short rows? If so adding the ribbing will definitely take care of that puckering. The short rows raise the neckline in the back but they do add more fabric. Working the ribbing with a smaller hook helps to tie it all together.
you could go up a hook size with worsted weight yarn and keep the same stitch count. I believe in the blog post linked I state that for the granny stitch you go up in multiples of 3. Crochet with Claire also has an easy raglan sweater tutorial with a couple of neckband sizes given :D.
I would measure a sweater she already owns, neckline, chest, length, armhole depth. And make as many stitches as needed for the neckline. Work in raglan until you reach the armhole depth.

Camilla your comment thrills me! I'm so glad you wore your sweater and that it got compliments! What yarn did you use?
Thank you for creating a great video. Good instructions, no annoying music. I will definitely subscribe.
Sweater looks awesome! Love the name too! What a generous gift for everyone, thank you ❤️
No problem! I hope that my instructions were clear enough that anyone can make it. Multiples of 3 are the key.
You gave such great tips especially when joining forthe sleeve. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you Marquita! No problem at all! I have some more tips coming your way next week for part 2. :D

@@crochetcakes Long sleeves, and in very bright colours, I'm hoping it will be nice and cosy for winter!
Again a masterpiece !!!!
When will l be able to make this !!!
That is the question I ask myself with every project I see, but I find that if I just start/cast on, I will most likely return to it.
That’s too adorable!
Thank you! A surprisingly quick make for a garment.
Beautiful-thank you for sharing
You are most welcome
Good job girl !
So cute...thanks for sharing!😊
Thank you for watching!
I love the way there does appear to be little “Santa’s” in the pattern! I gotta make one!
Thank you! I do use this granny raglan for Christmas, but I'm thinking of making another one.
Magnifique ❤❤
Nuova iscritta ❤❤❤ciao 😊
I'm wondering if I don't join the foundation chain if I could make it a cardigan? This is just gorgeous and a great video! Thank you so much 💓
Yes you can! I think Crochet with Claire (bobwilson123) has a V neck Raglan Cardigan that you could use as a guide with the granny stitches.

I want to make one with worsted weight yarn. Will it change anything, since it’s not a light weight yarn

Thank you! I will link the exact times I talk about the size here as well, but the bust was 40" before decreasing a bit for the waist.
