So far so good.. I used epoxy rather than polyester resin which is more resilient to fuel. I also used Caswell fuel tank liner which is a phenol novolac epoxy which is even more resilient to fuel. The fuel where I live contains no ethanol so probably wouldn't cause any issues no matter what resin it was made of.
I have tried glass fibre resin inside my bike rusted petrol tank but with time resin got reacted with petrol and started melting blocked carburetor, it's bad experience but it can be sealed from outside fabricating with glass fibre and resin...,

I have read that the main advantage of basalt fibre is it's higher heat resistance. But what epoxy to use for high heat resistance?

Epoxy + adhesive additive. The parts were designed with a 10-15mm lap joint
