I'm 32 years old, I have to take this for the accuplacer to get into the nursing program. The fact that I'm struggling with this makes me think how much harder nursing is going to be 🙁
The best videos to understand and pass the tsia2 test!!! i started the test last tuesday and did not finish but did not pass the first 20 questions so i had to go back today for the diagnostic part, that gave me time and i binged watched your videos throughout the week and today i passed the math diagnostic part!!! im so happy and it was all thanks to your way of teaching.

I plan to take my Math sometime in June and your videos are really helping me. I never liked Maths but now I enjoy it and want to learn more because of some wonderful tutors on UA-cam. took the accuplacer today, and this is not at all what it looked like for me in that first section, completely caught off guard with some of the questions I had to do.
Thank you very much for the assist, your course is saving me, but is there any chance you would be able to enable the ability to change the playback speed of your videos hosted on Vimeo? I believe it's an option you have to enable manually, and I find that being able to play the videos on a higher speed helps me maintain my focus better

So for question 3 why are you trying to solve for n? Isn’t that’s adding more step when there a more direct way to solving the problem? (Same answer either way just curious)
Not really “solving” for n here, just creating a value to see which answer choice matches with the expression in the question… If you’re familiar with “combining like terms” that totally works too if you are algebraically inclined… I’m cool with anything that gets you the right answer! : )

Depends how much time you have to devote to study each day… sections of the course are 2-3 hours of video instruction per “Day” (plus the practice problem sets, so if you have that kind of time per day you can finish in 6 days… Some students are going to need to spread that out though, as time permits. Whatever works best for you and your schedule!
for question number you could have distributed 4 to 4(n-9)+n which would have given 4n-36+n and then add 4n+n and and thus the answer is automatically 5n-36. This is another way you could have approached the question. Overall your videos are amazing and your channel is really great and very fun way to learn and feels like you are really in the classroom.

You’re right! It doesn’t say how many pens there are! But the question does say there are 3 more pens than pencils, so if there are 2 pencils you can assume there are 5 pens, right? Make sense?

Once you get to just addition and subtraction, it doesn’t matter which one you do first… the reason why is that addition and subtraction are fundamentally the same operation: subtraction is just ADDING a negative number. The rule could just as easily be PEMDSA, but PEMDAS sounds better for sure… That’s why when I get down to addition and subtraction, I just go from left to right. The order doesn’t matter. Make sense?

If you add first you get -14 + (-3.25) which also -17.25
