I remember seeing this when it first aired on TV. Then I moved to Manhattan Beach and got to enjoy the delicious modern New Mexico cuisine from Joihn Sedler's restaurant. Sadly, it's not there anymore. These cookies, red and green Hatch chili on everything, pork posole, blue corn tortillas are but a few of the regional specialties that remain fond delicious memories of my happy childhood in "The Land of Enchantment". Thank you for posting this episode!
I love this video. So many different ratios of ingredients. Is it 1 cup lard to 1 1/2 cups sugar. Cause it seems like a lot of sugar Just wondering because I would like to try your reciipe

New Mexico where white people have spanish names and cook with lard dishes with Spanish names as well. It feels like Mexico
In South Texas too.
