I didn't even get through your review, before I decided to order the Inspire Bible when I saw they had a large print edition, for these older eyes. :-) I am excited.

I have the creative bible in pink floral cover. I love it. I wish their were more creative/journaling options for nkjv.

I just got my creative Bible at Hobby Lobby and it was 2399 on sale I started last week watching videos on Bible journaling and I went Wednesday and got one and I've been using colored pencils the stamps stickers all different kinds of things love it if you don't have one go get one and it would make great Christmas gifts or birthday gifts
I wish they had more NIV line art bibles. That's my preferred bible too.

What’s the difference between an NIV Bible version and a KJV? I’m tryna get a Bible but idk which version, I’m tryna get one that’s easy to understand.😭
@@luliana_ortiz14 KJV is the one with the fancy English that's difficult to understand. NIV (New International Version) and NLT (New Living Translation) are the easy ones
The last one takes the cake for my style even though there are no elastic band it is what I will get when I first start Bible journalling
I just bought my creative bible for my mom for Mother’s Day. I got the inspire one for myself 😊 my moms came today...(a little late for Mother’s Day.) But it looks beautiful! I can’t wait to give it to her!

I have the Inspire bible, but it's different than yours, it has a cloth cover, printed with a garden/nature theme. It also has a nice teal pattern printed all along the edges. It does not have an elastic band. I keep it in the box it came in, and consider it a special book, that can't leave the house. I generally always avoid elastic things when I can, because they wear out and when they do, they're no longer useful.
I also have the HCSB, from Holman, The Illustrator's Notetaking Bible. It has a plain brown pleather cover, which looks nice, kind of classy, and its edges have been gilded. I like to keep it in the cardstock paper sleeve that it came in, to protect it from opening. I think I would take this book out and about sometimes, but after watching your video, I will be sure to put it in a freezer bag, to protect it from any damage of any kind. This one has each book title decorated at the very top of the page, and three columns of lines to write underneath that, a lot of writing space. And on the opposite page, there it is decorated nicely with an illustration to color in.
I like both of the books, but I think I prefer how they did the art on the Inspire one. Plus, I absolutely LOVE the NLT bible! I have colored in both bibles a little bit, with colored pencils, and notice no significant bleed-through on the next page. Maybe it matters how hard you press. I love how you tint the whole page when you do the line art. I'm going to start doing that! Thank you for the interesting and informative video!
I have this in Large Print. I like it. Thanks for explaining the NLT. I didn’t know it was a combination translation explains why I like this translation so much.

I use the Promises of God Bible and bought it at Sam's Club. The pages are intact...never had a problem. I love this book. As far as the art is concerned, I like drawing my own. I think that it is worth the cost.

Thanks for reviewing all the different colouring bibles. It was very helpful. I have the Inspire and the King James Version as well but I find that one hard to understand. The canvas bible is intriguing. I will look into this one. You can never have too many bibles.

My study Bible is an NIV and I have The Message, but I didn't know The Message had a journaling Bible! I loved seeing the journaling NIV and Canvas (Message)..thanks for the preview! I have the Inspire, that I use now...and an ESV single column journaling bible with no pre-art in it that I haven't used yet. I'd like to eventually get two that you showed here!

Bukie Msx i have been reading about it too, i wanted that bible because it looks so beautiful but it’s so different then the Word of God. I am not going to buy it anymore. It does not feel right for me.

so glad i watched this i was about to order my first bible the my creative bible but after watching i looked up the different translations of the bible and saw the kjv was just to difficult for me to understand for my first bible and decided to go with the inspire
I have a 6 year old Inspire Bible and I love it, considering the Canvas bible when I came upon your review, I guess the let down for the Canvas bible is since it's paraphrased, it doesn't come with numbered verses. Hard to bring to church when you are trying to find what your Pastor just read out loud. :) thanks for this very helpful review, I guess I'd purchase the Canvas bible for a secondary journaling bible.

I think that's why it's called a beautiful WORD, coz it would be more Word than graphics

I ordered one from Amazon and when they’re we’re 500 colorered pages I sent it back. I think that if is all ready colored then you can’t do the journaling.

I’m trying to find a coloring bible that has very thin pages, like many bibles do. The reason I want very thin pages is because I like the way it feels. Do you have a suggestion for a coloring bible that has very thin paper?

Have you seen the hcsb? I have it. The graphics are less floral than the inspire. I got the "teen" version which sells for much less. The only difference is that the teen has some extra helps like how we got the bible. I just ripped all the extra pages out, so now it looks just like the adult version. Holman is also word for word like the esv.

Sorry if this has already been answered but...do the pages in all of these bibles still need an application of clear gesso before coloring?
It depends on the medium you're using. If using pencils - no. If you're using something wet like watercolor - yes.

Is your inspire Bible large print or small print?
The Eugene Peterson Bible is written like the first Bibles. There were no chapters and verses.
Where do I get the canvas Bible?
Why do you American Evangelicals persist in thinking that the KJV is closest to the original texts because it’s generally the oldest English translation available?? Just ignoring the archaeology and discovery of scrolls/texts/codices in the intervening 400 years.
Could you please give me suggestions for the NIV Beautiful word coloring Bible as far as which coloring tools work best. I am scared of messing it up or even worse ruining it.

You can purchase them from Amazon. Most of them I got there.
LOL - old manuscripts have no little numbers either. The way to tell is to do a wee bit of studying what is says in the original languages, because if you haven't, you haven't read it at all, and can' t tell what the argument is, translation to translation.
I do agree that the original Scriptures are the ultimate way to go. Unfortunately, many folks no longer read Hebrew or Greek, which is why translations are so necessary. I believe that reading a translation is totally fine and would be very careful about discouraging others about what they can and can't do (or suggesting that by not reading the orginal language that they haven't read the Bible). The Holy Spirit will work in all of God's children to illuminate what is necessary for that individual.

Jacob Smith I know for sure that the Promises of God one does (I have both the soft and hard of that version) and I believe that the beautiful word might as well, not 100% sure. Hope this helps!
I wanted that beautiful looking canvas bible but the translation is not good... I read about it, it is beautiful but the word of God in the other Bibles are so different
I totally understand! I have multiple Bibles because I see things differently when I read it with different translations.
