One of the funniest, and underrated, scenes in this show is when Isaac gets given the captains armband and they put in their hands and he says “Richmond on 12…” and the camera just pans around the entire cast as he counts to twelve. I have no idea how they filmed that with straight faces because I’ve roared out loud with laughter EVERY time I’ve watched it. The dead pan expressions just makes it funny, and then to top it off Isaac misses a number when he’s counting💀
Maybe he was right though, as there are 11 players on a football team! Maybe jersey 8 isn’t taken? I wonder if that was intentional, especially because the camera pans to each player. ( if you leave out the subs,that is. )
I thought he specifically left out Jamie's number but I could be wrong.
He misses the #8, which is Roy's position as midfielder. It's a tribute to him suggesting there's no replacing Roy. It's a touching, if somewhat obscure moment...
@@thfpt I never knew that! It makes what is also a very funny scene, very poignant and emotional. That’s the kind of clever writing that made the first two seasons so good, a shame about season 3…

But, said comp MUST include Will's imitation in the role reversal episode... it was somehow spot on AND massively over the top at the same time.
The scene at 9:21 made me laugh so hard. Because somehow 9:27 looks EXACTLY like a renaissance painting portraying masculine melancholy 😂😂😂

I studied screen writing ony spare time and in my opinion this is some of the best writing I e watched lately. I'm always pointing out such technique as symbolism, motivated transition, seamlessly tieing storylines together. The story and character arches are intriguing. I would love to have coffee, or tea with the writers. Aloha

Dani loves the joy, and he wants to give away joy for free. What better to give joy than the Make-a-Wish foundation(or something similar idk what they're called tho)? He is all smiles, he has lots of energy, and (it seems like) he's good with kids.
That is why I think Dani's best partnership(prob not paid since it's a charity foundation) would be with Make-a-Wish.
