(3:07) Also for some reason Mechagodzilla's neck looks a bitter short then what it's supposed to be lol. 👔🤖📏 (6:08) Yeah thats the weird thing about these figures is that they come with buildings (or at least half of one lol). I mean on the one hand its cool because we don't get building accessories for recent Godzilla figures all that often (for what ever reason). But on the other hand it's like, thats it, just a building? No effect parts, no accessories that might represent what was in the movie that the monster was in, nope just half of a building. Also I agree with Omni, they should just put both parts of the building for one figure (that or just release a big box set with multiple destroyable buildings like what Bandai Creation did with the "Crumble Zone" set many years ago). 🤨🏢🦖🏬🤷♂
Those that depended on NECA for quality Godzilla figures a reasonable price, now have HIYA TOYS to be thankful for. Great / honest take on these Mr. Collins👍
In a recent interview, Brian from new Super7 said this line was partly inspired by the 90s Trendmasters figures. So there's limited articulation and bendy wire tails. The buildings are a nice touch, but I agree the packages should have a complete building, not half of one.
Flynn is quick to see they're toy or vinyl inspired when the sculpting is just bad. If these were actually inspired by Trendmasters they'd have alot more appeal.
@@nope5657 Yeah? Well good luck with that. We're talking Super7 and Target exclusives here. Besides, tooling and plastic costs aren't what they were in the 90s and they're not made of the same material the Trendmasters figs were back in the day. So there's that to consider too.
I would say that these figures don't look great, especially when Bandai has a MechaGodzilla 2 figure from it's Bandai Movie Monster Series which is almost completely accurate to the film version. And it is pretty cheap on amzon. Although I would say more articulation is good, when a figure looks this inaccurate and low quality I would say having a figure that is cheaper, very accurate, and a bit more limited in it's articulation is much better. Unless these were $5 each I wouldn't even consider it, especially considering the Bandai Movie Monster Series MechaGodzilla 2 is around $20.
Personally for me, Super7 figures are boutique pricing. For my collecting dollars, they're not worth it. I supported the Toho Ultimate's for 4 waves and feel cheated.
Great figure review as always Omni, Thank you!!!!!!! Also, sorry to hear about the acquisition of the faulty glow in the dark heat ray Godzilla figure, with the unattachable heat ray head. If possible, and if it interests you, maybe you can attempt to get an exchange for a hopefully functional copy of the figure or ask for a refund.
NOPE! I have a deep, bitter hatred for Super7. Consistently over-priced. Consistently lower quality in sculpt and detail than their competitors. No idea how they managed to not only stick around, but built a solid following. NECA has its issues for sure. But they mostly nail sculpt, paint app, and articulation. I'll take the occasional hard to pose/stand figure for the likeness and detail for $30/$35 over the trash Super7 puts out. I truly find their pricing offensive for what you get. I won't say they've NEVER put out a good product. It seems their MOTU line that put them on the map is great stuff, but other than that they just are not worth it to me. Ever.
I mean, aren’t these like 30 bucks? Why waste that money when I can just wait for hiya to make a $50 dollar figure that’s way better. super 7s are made to look like cheap toys, but they sure aren’t priced like them lol
The Bandai Movie Monster Series MechaGodzilla 2 is much better even though it has limited articulation. It's still $20 and one of the most accurate figures of MechaGodzilla 2.

All of Super7’s stuff needs to be 1/3rd the price.
If the Reaction figures were $5 max, I’d collect the shit outta them.
These should be $12 max.
Spot on!
Yup. I have brutally petty hatred for Super7. I genuinely find them offensive in their pricing.
One half of a building for each figure is crazy.
They kinda remind me of slightly better articulated Trendmasters toys.
With none of the charm
And about three times the price.

You know what line didn't have bendy wire tails? Trendmasters lol

That's cool. They should be Trendmasters of the 90s priced then.

Did you use a hair dryer to heat up your recalcitrant Ultimates Godzilla heat ray head's socket?
No, but I shouldn't have to.
I’ve always found that too much articulation can make a figure too flimsy n easier to break
I'm not going to lie. I couldn't resist buying Super 7's Space Godzilla. Expensive, but worth it!

They honestly look decently well put together and don't look goofy in any bad way.
I disagree, the proportions are way off

@@spencerwyld836 I just don’t care for S7 anymore, it’s just not worth it, the dang mouths not being on a hinge is ridiculous.
