Hi Thanks for a great video. I was wondering if you knew how to depin the door side connector that you show at 1:59 - I am having some issues with my power mirrors and I suspect the female side of the connector has been pushed back in the plastic connector and I would like to pull the female socket out of the connector clean it and put it back in but I have yet to find out what tool I need. Thanks in advance!!! Knut
excellent! I need you to make a dedicated video on how to disable the Oil Level check light on the overhead console. I carefully cleaned the level switch but the light stays on and not worth having since the dipstick is more accurate. I look forward to when you are started and running what warning lights you still have on.
Thanks 👍 does your light comes on when standing still or when the car is moving? Mine was on while standing still. The oil level on the dipstick was at half full. I added the oil till it is full and light went out. Works fine now.
@@snailspeedprojects292 it has not worked for a long time no matter the level always red light on. I have cleaned it perfectly and the wiring is repaired. You can’t remove the globe so I want to disable it at the CCS box under the dash that controls this panel but need a video for that 🤣

I used a cheap de-pinning tool and was able to depin the entire door harness to repair it.

Amazingly mine works really well.
I keep it as an alternative to the dipstick.

@@richardwilliams8667 you could remove the light bulb
@@24pashka I'm too scared to break apart the panel. The smarter way is to disable at the Active Check Control junction box.
hell yea. need to save for later. not getting any continuity going from door to switch even though theyre getting power
Thanks for watching 👍 might be corroded contacts in the door plug or a broken wire along the door sill and floor to the switch. Good luck 👍
@@snailspeedprojects292 nice thanks. Realized it watching ur vid that the contacts on the door come out entirely
Nice video. Where did you buy the new carpet for your car?? It looks very nice
Thanks for watching. The carpet was sprayed with black textile/vinyl paint 🙂👍
Hi! Where did you buy the adhesive cover for the windows? Thanks and congrats for your progress!!
Thanks 👍 I bought it on a website called schmiedmann.
@@snailspeedprojects292 thank you!!!
What kind of material did you use for the rear parcel you restored?
Generic speaker material from local auto shop
Funny- I’m trying to go the other way- automatic to manual window swap 😂
if its for an early model car and you still have the parts lmk plz!!
My car is a later car. 1988 post facelift car. So not sure if it would work. 🤷🏻♂️
