Much easier with countersteering on strong. I managed 1:04,94. Also less sliding with manual gears. ASM is too much in my opinion as it stops the slide in the middle while unexpected. Don’t downshift while turning on first corner, no need for 1st gear. Last corners stay in 4th and downshift to 2nd in straight line while braking.

Surprised that you have not entered the Le Mans TT, that was a lot of fun

Though Gold at Le Mans was easy. Getting there was anything but "fun". I've been to dinners with in-laws that were less boring and torturous than that TT.

@@VectorAero Haha, it was for me, but it really pushed me hard to be precise in doing each and every braking and turning and accelerating. I guess I don't have the burden for setting a super fast time for making videos compared to you, which made it more enjoyable for me (?)

the road cars with soft tires are reaaaaally hard to control …on controller. Weird they call it a controller when it’s so damn hard vs a wheel.

Definitely not easy for me. 🤪 I am either slow or crash, nothing in between.
Any noob tips how to drive such a car? I understood it is necessary to use throttle to avoid spin but quite often I crash even when I am throttling becuse of car sliding. And as I said - if I go slower, my times are terrible (1:08.xxx is my best so far). I am stuck and cannot find a way out to quicker handling this car here.

Update: second day on track and I feel improvements. First of all I lost excessive respect to the "floating car", kerbs and chicanes. My times improved only a little bit so far (my best now is 1:07.xxx) but I feel my driving becomes significally more confident. And yes - there is a lot of job to be done…

Update 2: I finally found that no guide can make me drive significantly better/faster. It can tell me some useful info about track/car but I must not try to drive as quickly as it does someone who is far better driver than me. If I try to "race" with him, it leads to crashing again and again because I push my actual limits too much. Practicing, practicing in speeds that are actually my level, and be patient, this is all about. I must grow slowly, not try to get golden times, that's it.

And Update 3 (final): After 3 days of practicing I lost respect of the car. It no longer feels "uncontrollable" to me (like driving on ice) any more as it did few days ago. And THIS is my success. And yes, my times grow slowly better and better, which I consider not to be my priority, it only happens somewhere on the background of my driving.
i stopped pushing and keeping track of my lap times. That was the key to success and joy. maybe it helps also someone else.✨

I’ve not tried this yet. I know the track though so gold should be easy enough. I’ll be nowhere near your time though 😢😂

    Simply?!?
Of course it's easy for the best in the world with a steering wheel,
this arrogance towards less talented drivers is slowly becoming more and more visible,
    but hey,
there's no problem with the sponsored equipment downplaying any perceived difference! 🙌

I mean, he did a video explaining where you should break, how the car handles and what you should avoid. If you have a certain skill it's achievable. I have a G29 and i play GT7 for about 8 months now. Of course it will take longer for me to get gold compared to him. But "arrogance towards less talented drivers"? Bro, please... I hope that's a joke. If you think you're slow, go practice.
It's like in music, any piano player will say "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is easy, but if you don't play piano you will struggle at first. That doesn't mean it's not easy, just that you don't have the required skills yet.

You don’t need a racing setup to be able to get gold. I got it using a controller. It takes a lot of practice. Pay attention to his braking and turning points. If you want to go flat out, You need to get the rotation of the car right so that you don’t crash into the wall at that first chicane.
