Reelin' in the Years

Guitar legend, Elliott Randall, joins the Atlantic Soul Messengers at a gig in Richmond, North Yorkshire to play Steely Dan's 'Reelin' in the Years' using the same '63 Fender Stratocaster which he used on the original recording.
He's joined in the solo, which Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page rated as the best guitar solo of all time, by Messengers' lead guitarist, Nigel Stockbridge.

This was a great gig, and we've been fortunate enough to do a couple of other, slightly bigger gigs with Elliott since. Nige Stockbridge, our guitarist is a guitar maker and repairer and looks after Elliotts guitars so that's how we managed to get to play with him....

Jimmy Page gave Elliot Randall a 12, on a scale of 1 to 10, when interviewed about what he thoughts about various guitarists. Jimmy Page has said that Elliot Randall's guitar work on Reelin in the Years is the best playing he's ever heard.
