Great video fin, cheers!! Nice to hear a snippet of my local accent from the lady on the barge. Always a pleasure to see your work on your boat too. Cheers from aus!
Finn, I knew you were a rising star when viewing some of those early episodes of the rebuilding of Tally Ho, then by pure accident, I fell onto your channel and here you are rebuilding your own boat. Awesome work, content and all the rest. I was immediately hooked, and am now looking forward to each and every episode. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Great content, as always. You create an atmosphere with your videos that makes me want to go and live in your area. It feels so relaxed and stress free, or at least you do not share that part. I feel reborn after hard days, watching your videos.
Coming on nicely as are your woodworking skills. I can see that you will become an important member of the traditional boatbuilding and repair community. Well done
Love the film of the sailing barges. It's nice to see that some traditions are kept alive. Also, I'm enjoying the work you are doing on the roof beams. I'm learning a lot from watching you work.
Enjoying your videos Finn. Take a tip from one who knows, use a mallet instead of your fist, you will thank me in forty years or so, keep up the great work!
Completely mesmerising video, from start to finish. Those Thames barges are magnificent. The construction of those joints is a joy to behold. Enviable workmanship. Love it!
Great video and I wish it was longer it just seems like there's too much time goes by before your next video I do appreciate them and you my best to you and yours God bless
Excellent video. I especially liked the old barges as I grew up in Maldon and lots of them would come in and out. I have fond memories of the races in the '70s and' 80s and recall Reminder nearly 50 years ago when a girl I went to school with lived aboard her.
Great video. The Thames Barges were awesome!! Did quite a lot of photography in Malden - they make great subjects. Great progress on the roof carling. Neat work!!! Till the next video, best of luck.
Didn't know the purpose of the red sand forts so I Googled them... pretty cool history and I'm glad you shared it with us.. thanks from just south of the great lakes in the midwest USA..
What a awesome experience you took us along for!!! I must admit that most channels that put music in their content really brings out the suck factor but you have some wonderful taste in music and you're quite the craftsman
Thank you on the "barge" info, nice to learn new things. Speaking of Things-"tis a beautiful wood working job!" Stunning wood work that you have done! Thanks for sharing all! Rich
Wow, that race was really something to see, those sails were massive as were the masts you had to lift, unbelievable! Your woodworking skills are crazy good, the boat is looking so nice! Thanks so much for your wonderful episode!
Hey Mate, great video as always ! There's always this smidge of a "Tally Ho" tinge when I see your vids and that's great, we know where you come from. I am not a boat builder, rather a woodworker and blacksmith, and it's really inspiring to see your work and you having fun on the water. Anyways, keep it up and Hi from Belgium accross the pond !
Great seeing the barges at PinMill. Reminder seemed to be your Klingon for the race. Typical east coast wind picked up when the tide turned. Looked like a great day.
I always love seeing your progress and I really hope that you get that craft of yours completed and in the water in two years time ;0) great wood working skills there love the dry assembly.
Looking good Finn. The deck beams that is! Have you looked into roto molded tanks? They last forever. Fuel and water. Very common with commercial boat builders like Beneteau etc.
Very nice capturing of the sailing! 👍👍👍👍
High quality workmanship, coming along well, just another two years to the water!

I LOVE the dovetails on the roof beams! I would've gotten myself a dovetail router bit to speed things up, but your chiselling does look great. 😊
I’m in no rush and enjoyed the satisfaction of using a chisel 👍
Great video. The Thames Barges were awesome!! Did quite a lot of photography in Malden - they make great subjects. Great progress on the roof carling. Neat work!!! Till the next video, best of luck.

Those long diagonal booms are really something. I would've expected a shorter top boom on a rig like that. Beautiful to see those barges in motion.
Brilliant! Love your vids.
It’s not the length of time but how good of a job he does. From the looks of what he’s done so far “he’s just fine “
Nice work
Just found and subscribed, thank you for excellent posts..
Great video Finn!
I heard Tally Ho has been moved to Port Townsend.
Racing a barge is like bringing a VW Bus or a Sprinter Van to an uphill race, or oxen to a horse race .... I pretty much like that concept 😂
Beautiful barche in holland we have skûtsjesilen it is a bit smaller but also hard work 👍 and fun
Great seeing the barges at PinMill.
Reminder seemed to be your Klingon for the race. Typical east coast wind picked up when the tide turned.
Looked like a great day.
Great video Finn, full of interest - thanks, from here at Leigh-on-Sea.
