Yes, I own a 2018 X3 M40i (6 cylinder) and a 2024 X3x30i (4 cylinder). While the M40i is slightly more fun, there is nothing sluggish about X30i, and it get better gas mileage.
The base model isn’t worth it however with options these X3s are great, would 100% take over a GLC but I like the Q5 too, I’m really excited for the redesigned 2025 X3 especially bc the redesigned 2025 Q5 seems poorly designed imo
Answer not . My friend one could not as quick than my GLC 2022 though, back seat is not lux and not comfortable , sound system ( regular manufacturer only both) is bad, not smooth drive on long trip than GLC. Trunk cargo is smaller , only one i love BMW is Ambient lights around interior

Test drove with 40i. This thing is slow
65k but the BMW site says it starts at $45,900. I wonder where the extra 20k is tbh.
The 2025 starts at 49k why 60k for this smh

2025 x3 is coming out in a month or two. Maybe in 2026 you can review that.
Mercedes and Audi suspensions are more confortable on the road.

GLC is NOT comfier than the X3, no way.
Such a non luxury feel to the interior…so much plastic and not enough soft touch materials like the Mercedes GLC has
The base X3 is a no-go for me however with options it’s a nice car, can’t wait for the redesigned 2025 one
There is more plastic in the mercedes, I would know because I have a mercedes e class
