Oh, I'm really very impressed!! A really great interpretation of this very difficult etude, dear Jonathan!! Bravooooo!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩 Yes, and maybe Liszt actually played on this piano... a fascinating idea! ☺
@@pianothingsmusic yes I’ve heard about those pianos - would love to play one to see if it makes a difference! The keys on the Erard are a bit shorter (front to back) but the width is the same as my modern piano. So no assistance with Campanella, unfortunately! I’ve heard that some pianos back then had thinner keys but I’ve never seen or played one.
wow
@sheh9 thanks for listening, glad you enjoyed it! 😊

@@juliane_steinwachs-zeil thank you very much, Juliane! I like to tell people Liszt probably played it, even though I have no proof! 😂
Wow that’s epic.
@@austinsavage4390 thanks very much, Austin! 😊
너무 멋집니다
Thank you very much! 🙂
So great, Jonathan!! Bravo! 😃
Interesting to hear this old piano!
@@stefan.kraus-composer thanks very much Stefan. I guess playing it on this piano is pretty close to what Liszt himself heard! 😊
Excellent performance as always, beautiful presentation too with the candles. 🎶✨
@@RoseWilson thanks very much Rose, I thought the candles might add a touch of authenticity! 😊
Wonderful, great performed, Jonathan 🙂🎶
@@FlowEckurt thanks for listening, Eckurt. Very glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Impressive, Jonathan!! I like this piece too, but my hands are small so it’s a fight to play it 😅
@@pianothingsmusic thanks Cornelia. I think it’s a fight for anyone to play it, even with big hands! 😀
@@jonathanbradley8698I was thinking of those modified pianos where the keys are narrow. What about the width of the keys with your grand piano?

@ my mom had one, but that’s many years ago. I played on it as a kid. So unfortunately I don’t have a comparison now 😅
@ very interesting! I know they can be beneficial for some people, but it would be very expensive to manufacture keyboards of a different size.
Easy.
@@AmadeusMozartOfficial very!
@@jonathanbradley8698 I was Liszt's Idol you know....

@ thank you! ☺️
Good playing but the audio is pretty bad. If you're going to go through all this trouble you might as well mic it properly, maybe professionally.
@@angelthman1659 thanks, I’m hoping to upgrade the recording equipment at some stage!
