Lots of people got mislead into buying the elite edition day 1 thinking you would get all future content, just to have to buy them separately. The new ultimate edition is just an extra slap to the face of anyone who supported at the beginning

Selling a full price beta was bad enough…but then charging for wrestlers who should’ve already been in the game, CAW parts and old game modes like towers/tournaments made it beyond worst !! This doesn’t even cover the lack of full entrances, an abysmal CAW, a boring short story mode, only 7 match types, not having the legendary JR and Tony commentating the matches, no match toggles, no sliders, only 5 belts.. I’m still baffled how anyone could still defend this unfinished soulless cash grab
Remember when people were hyping this game up because a No Mercy director was on it? You know the game was DOA when they used an n64 game as their bar.
No Mercy is an incredible game. Its a timeless game like HCTP is. Theres a reason why so many games try to emulate its style, because its fun. Go play the game, it might be a n64 game, but its an all timer for wrestling games.
I think people have amnesia because at the time when no mercy came out it wasn't that popular. I remember one person at school had no mercy, we all played smackdown. I just checked out of curiosity and no mercy was the 3rd in sales in wrestling games on the N64 selling 1 million copies smackdown sold triple that and was the best selling combat game on playstation. I played wrestlemania 2000 and wcw/nwo revenge but the aki engine had ran it's course by the time no mercy came out in my opinion. I think people have this warped opinion of no mercy because of the mods when emulators became popular it did have a resurgence because it was easy to mod I loved that tna/roh mod in the mid 2000s
oh man more aesthetic visual arenas that have barely any interaction, that screams 2k20 because that game had lot of cool looking arenas but you couldn't do anything cool in. Is it that hard to just get one small backstage fight area? like they have that whole battle royal stadium with indoors and outdoor area which is pretty much that but it locked to the battle royal gameplay.
They probably will have a season 5 tho because some people on its reddit didn’t think they would have anything past a season 2 if that and it managed to go 4 dlc packs now. Not defending it just saying it’s probably far from being finished.

They literally have content (matches) that are playable, and just locked behind RTE, that they for whatever reason refuse to unlock for exhibtion play lol. Like, why lock that? Just release it, it's already in the game, just unlock it lol
3 years for this hype for fight forever and 3 years later fight forever has officially been the worst game ever worst than WWE2K20 like limited match types barley any creation stuff etc All Elite Wrestling had 3 years to make this game but failed like they could've added stars from Ring of Honor and more if they decided to make another AEW game chances are it's going to be 25% out of 100% basically this game has failed
Its not worse than 2k20. 2k20 was an abomination. Launch was unplayable and broken beyond belief. I can still think of many worse wrestling games than Fight Forever. Fight Forever is a 6/10 game.

the game play is good there is just nothing to do and not a lot of match options. they need a booking mode like universe and totally redo the CAW system and unlock the match types that are in road to elite that we can't play in exhibition. also mods have proved you can have like 40 guys in the ring at once and the game run fine.
Totally agree this game had the fundamentals to be a good game, but much like the AEW show, you can tell the higher ups don't know what they're doing. A shame because I've grown so god damn tired with WWE in general. Their games are always like copy and paste from the previous year and the company is being run by moronic 60 yr olds who thinks it's the 1970s and that modern audiences can't take the sight of men and women fighting, not even their pixelated cartoon renders. Maybe HHH should ban piledrivers in the game too for "realism". Oh but no, it's just that aspect he wants to enforce and further make female characters irrelevant because they can't play with the rest of the roster.
Everything wrong with AEW FF 1. Straight out of the gate compared itself to No Mercy 2. Doesn’t come close to No Mercy 3. Gameplay is okay but why do the characters walk so slow they don’t feel that slow in No Mercy 4. The game isn’t responsive at times 5. Hit detection is hit or miss 6. Still has weird glitches 7. Only some weapons are throwable. In no mercy you could launch steel steps across the arena 8. No backstage areas 9. Super limited creation suite 10. Half the move-set abilities are locked behind Road to the elite 11. You can only have one road to the elite save 12. Road to the elite sucks 13. Mini games (why?) 14. Outdated models and arenas 15. DLC is highway robbery 16. Screwed over people who bought the elite edition or whatever it was called at launch 17. Glaring match type omissions 18. Mod block on a game that definitely NEEDS MODS 19. No ROH or NJPW influx 20. Was an incredible disappointment. See I wanted this game to be good even though I never really cared for AEW to begin with because a good wrestling game is a good wrestling despite what company makes it. I think if they can all get their head out of their ass and maybe co brand the game with New Japan it could possibly have a Virtual Pro wrestling flair to it license some of those new japan legends bring on legends not currently signed to WWE call it something stupid like AEW/NJPW Revenge Tour lol or something idk but man is an actual good wrestling game missing these days. They really need to do something with this engine and not just let it sit there stagnant.

They do plan on continuing to add to the game. However, this was always meant to be an arcade game. Yet fans kept asking for updates that would be found in WWE 2k. Now, it does lack a ridiculous amount of match types. Oddly enough, there's a bunch of match types locked behind RTE. Odd, very odd. I think this game should've been free to play or at the max $30 dollars.
It’s not that bad of a wrestling game. There are many worse wrestling games than this. There’s just not that much to do and it feels stuck in the past. It’s more disappointing than anything else

i was one of them, if i want to get the rest of the DLC season 2,3 and 4 its gonna cost me 45 more bucks on steam.
I bought it twice, ps5 and switch. I fell for the same con and lost £150.

Who asked for a tournament match type instead of other exciting match types like Steel Cage HIAC or WarGames.
TBF, they don't own the rights to Wargames or HIAC so they can't do those specific matches. But yea there are still plenty match types they could add.
