💬Synopsis:
Shen Jin grew up in luxury as a member of the royal family. After the emperor decrees an arranged marriage, she is married off to a general who defends the borders. Although she falls in love with her husband, general Chu Xiu Ming, at first sight, she finds it difficult to blend in.
Shen Jin gradually sheds her spoiled and entitled attitude and becomes a force to be reckoned with. The work that the actors, producers and directors put in, to make these scenes look the way they do is really good. For the swirl out of the water kissing, there is a clip showing the leads stooping on the flat surface of the bridge. A team member pours the water on their heads, then they arise and kiss. So they didn't actually arise out of the water. That is why we don't see their feet. They shoot the stunts at different breaks but amazing job to combine it all for our viewing.🙂

I need the BTS for this scene because it must have been really, really hard work. Underwater scenes are harsh on the cast and crew, AND then combining it with wire work and a kiss. Must have been really difficult to film this.

The longest record to hold one's breath under water is 22 minutes and 22 seconds. The sequence was 2 minutes, not including cuts, maybe 4-5 minutes. But for the cast, they have people with oxygen tanks down there and usually not shot in the original lake, but a swimming pool, (sometimes with backgrounds) and medics on stand by.

The last part when they were out of the water was another break shoot. Behind the scenes, they were actually sitting on the bench on top of the bridge and someone poured a bucket of water on their heads and they quickly kissed and got up from the seat still kissing.
