Just an FYI. Those small commercial carrots are technically larger ill formed carrots cut and shaped by machines and rinsed in chlorine. Since I found that out I went back to regular carrots

You two are so amazing! Really, you should be so proud, your cabin is so awesome. Your hutches are outstanding, the bunnies are so cute. I am beyond impressed with your building skills. Mel, I hope you know how lucky you are that you have a husband that can build anything he puts his mind too. He reminds me of my hubby, who could build or make anything. Looks great don't forget buy some tile square for rabbits rest on from the hard wire. Hot days have ice jugs for them rest next to.

Aren’t they gonna put a load of straw in there??? NEED somewhere to bed down n group together & sleep/be warm. If u don’t put any in they won’t be happy on the wire catching their feet on n getting small injuries. Also I would look at a big fenced in run that they can get exercise in & still be safe from predators

It appears you don’t know much about raising Rabbits, Rabbit wire (which won’t injure their feet) or them getting cold with all that fur in almost June . Gary and Melanie don’t live in Alaska fella, where they live only gets to 50 degrees at night this time of year. My question to you is Why don’t you ask Gary and Mel these questions instead of asking their viewers ? It appears as if you’re trying to make them look dumb or uneducated about what they’re doing to their viewers. 🤷🏻♂️
What they’re doing with these Rabbits is 100% correct and it’s not Them who don’t know what they’re doing or talking about it’s you. I’m just saying. And if you have a question ASK THEM! I been subbed to these guys for years and every time I had a question or concern and ask them in the comment section they have always answered me with total respect ✊🏼!

…adding a large piece of tile in the rabbit cages would be better for the rabbits. They will chew up the zip board in no time at all.😊

Didn’t you watch the video ? They was in a rush to build these Rabbit hutch’s while Tim was driving from Tenn to deliver the Rabbits. They worked all day to build the hutch’s before he got there. Don’t you think it’s logical to build the hutch’s to give them shelter and outta harms way from predators FIRST ? Or should they have built nesting boxes and set them on the ground and expect them to stay in it and wait for a nice big coyote to come get em before Gary and Mel have time the next day to build the hutch’s ? That’s just common sense my friend, and Rome wasn’t built in a Day.
@@marcs990 and Rabbits aren’t gonna hurt their feet on that Rabbit wire! I raised rabbits in cages/hutch’s just like those for 20 years and never had a single rabbit 🐇 hurt their feet walking or standing or laying on that rabbit wire. Although I kept my Rabbits toenails clipped from time to time. But NO, that Rabbit wire which is designed for Rabbits is not going to cause injuries.
Great job. on the rabbit hutches! I just want to tell you how much I am enjoying watching your progress. Not just the development of the homestead but your family, the community and the home that you are building together. You two are awesome!
Hydroxychloroquine recipe:
Take the peels only of 3 to 4 grapefruits and 3 or 4 lemons. In a pot with a glass lid fill it over the height of the peels with distilled water cover bring to. A boil never take the lid off. Once it's boiling turn it to low and let dimmer for 3 hours. Do not remove the lid till after the 3 hrs and it has cooled all the way to room temp. Once it's cooled sprain the liquid off to a container add sweetener to taste. I use splendid.
Dosage is one tablespoon in the morning and one in the evening. If you feel a little sickness coming on up the dose.

Tim’s a Awesome guy I like him and follow his channel religiously. Awesome brew of bunnies 🐇🐰 he’s set you guys up with. I’ll make one carpentry suggestion on your cages..... Put one strip of wood on the right & one on the left of the door frames 🖼 as a door stop. So the doors can’t be accidentally pushed inside the frame anymore than flush with the outside of the cage. Because if it gets accidentally pushed into the cage it can sprain your hinges or bust the frame where your hinges are screwed to. Just a precautionary measure.

You can give old fashion oats to your rabbits. You can put hay in toilet paper rolls & give to your rabbits. It’s a treat & a toy for them. If they eat the paper it’s safe. Good luck with your rabbits.

You can build a raised bed underneath the cages and create a nice fertilizer and worm bed for fishing. And rabbit is delicious!!

I cannot remember which video you asked for ideas for crowd pleasers ideas. There is spanish rice or cabbage roll casserole, shephards pie,chicken ala king with baking powder bisquits, chili and boiled macaroni and corn bread, potato bacon soup with dumplings on top. Boiled dinner, black beans and rice with sausage, chicken pot pie made in muffin tins with bisquick, mexican goulash and baked bread from frozen bread dough, mac n cheese with ham chunks and broccoli in it, chicken and bacon fettucini alfredo, potato tot casserole,sauted or baked cabbage,red potatoes and carrots with kielbasa chunks, tuna noodle casserole, one of my favorites is sweet n sour meatballs on rice with frozen meatballs from sams club. You dump the bag of meatballs in a lg roaster,add 2 or 3 lg cans of saurkraut, two cans of jellied cranberries cute to chunks in can,brown sugar and 2 or 3 bottles of chili sauce and bake. Serve over white rice. Its delicious. Then there are snow caps. Butterfly hot dog the long way not cutting completely through, fold a slice of cheese into 4 strips add 1/4 slice of cheese into cut on hotdog. Before starting make plain or any flavor instant potatoes you want and add minced dehydrated onion to water when cooking for potaoes let cool some so you do not burn fingers. Mound on top of cheese slice in cut hotdog and top with another 1/4 slice of cheese. Bake till cheese is melted. I like mine browned. I like boxed mac n cheese or Bush's beans with them. I guess thats enough ideas. Lol have fun
I’ve heard of predators/cats clawing at the rabbits feet from underneath the cage. Solution is a small piece of plain wood (not toxic if they chew on it) for them to hide on if attacked!
Need sleep boxes for your bunnies. I love that you made them big hutches, plenty of room.

Awesome job. If it were me, I would have placed the second hutch beside the first so that both of them have open wire facing the house so you could easily look down and get a quick view of the status of the rabbits.

As someone about to build a home, I completely understand the buy as you go build method. Thankfully lumber prices have went down some.

collard greens and kale was favorite for my rabbits, carrots so so, apples were a hit too and bread.
those plastic boot trays will work under cages to catch the poop , make it easy to pour in a big bucket to save for compost pile

Gary my name is Otis McElhaney and I am running to comment on your planting plants in barrels when you land and barrels you have to add Gravel or some sort of thing to let the water flow out of the barrel so it Hass to be in the bottom portion of the barrel

Need to build your stair well and add steal plates to internal walls for storm shelter
I use to raise rabbits and the one thing that I found very helpful was when I put tin at a 45 under the cages that way all the pellets and other wastes collected behind the hutch for easy cleaning

They have a walk behind hay baler you could hay under the powerlines. Hay is so expensive and its a small field. Makes a small bale in a minute....goats,pigs,rabbits,chickens, cows all eat hay in winter. Could put a hay barn in the camp area as its all set up with utilities
in the winter we used to drop sacking over the hutches for warmth !!!😁😁

I like your rabbits they are so cute. I’ve had rabbits before and they love plantain it grows in your lawns , fields and along roadsides . They will love it and it’s good for them.
