My uncle was in the army he survived thankfully and I’m glad he’s alive but to the soldiers who passed.. I bow my head in respect,they knew they had a slim chance of surviving and I’m grateful for the brave souls in the army currently and the past souls who are gone or here

My 2 brothers knew that song when I was at my younger brother’s graduation. I was at Missouri for my brother’s military graduation and I heard this song and it was from my brother and his soldiers. My older brother know that song. He is a warrant soldier and my younger brother is a private soldier. Thank you for your service
The military is one of the last places in the western world where things like this cadence are still passed, from one generation to the next, without ever being written down. I can sing this and many others word for word even though I’ve never seen them in writing. I learned them from my Drill Sergeant, who learned it from hers, who learned it from his.
Writing is the only way to preserve things to future generations.

Ex-Cadet of Camden Military, I only went for 1 year, yet I memorized most of these cadences. These were some of the few things Bravo Company looked forward to. Some of the things I will miss. Semper Fi and Godspeed to all marines who died.

Im joining the Navy in a month and ive never been more excited. This is my go to for motivation on prep runs and my mile long prep swims. I dont have anyone to train with but having this play in both my ears at loud levels really makes me push and fight because i was made and built and designed from birth to be a sailor and by God thats what im going to do.
