The timing of Israel's assassination of the Hamas leader's family shows Israel is not serious about a prisoner exchange. The last thing netanyahu wants is a cease fire ...which could become permanent , at which point Netanyahu's political career could be over. He faces a prison cell for corruption. Same here in the UK, the only time I’ve seen the UK stand up to the bullying of the USA. We had a decent Prime Minister who was leaned on and even threatened by the USA but he wouldn’t give in to their demands. Of course they made us suffer for it. But at least we had morals then.

As far as there’s the occupation there be resistance. The solution to stop the conflict once for ever is for the Israeli to withdraw from occupation of Palestine and go back to 1948 borders. The borders are well documented and has the signatures of British, French, American and Russia. The resolution 181 ( also known as the partition resolution) that would divide Palestinian land into Jewish and Palestinian states.
