Just makes me choke up when you see luke run up to his sister leia and they hug, also when luke rests on the tree, you just see such relief for some reason its just great.
because i watched star wars starting from i to iii, so i am familiar with the young anakin. i felt the empathy, seeing him become a good friend, a good lover, a good son, until he corrupted, and turn dark. then we were shown vader, who is ruthless, dont give a shit and mean, who in the end came back to the light. as his ghost appeared, i was like OMG its anakin, he's in peace, he's back where he should be, with yoda and obi-wan. and looking at his two child, smiling. he just lost so much. he is finally in peace -- thats why i cried
+Iskandar Zulkarnain Same here man. I was laughing and crying at the same time. Then my girlfriend told me to get out and the main theme began. That's when I began to roll on the floor.
Star Wars is the best part of my childhood. Me and my brother must of watched these films 100s of times together; playing with action figures, shooting blasters and duelling with lightsabers. This song always takes me back to those times, mixed with my love for Darth Vader who died saving his son and defeating the Empire. It makes me cry even now being in my late 20s and I know when I'm much older and times move on this song will always take me back to the great times I had playing in the front room with my family :') Star Wars is Epic.
Why is this song so fucking sad? When you watch the entire triliogy in one day from Star Wars 1, Anakin as a kid and Obi has a padwan and the entire journey until the very end when the sith gets destroyed for good. Tears.
Out of all the alterations Lucas made to the original movies, this is one that I approve. This song is more emotional, heart melting and conveys a sense of serenity, peace, love and hope. The original 'Yub Nub Ewok' song did not convey these feelings. This song makes me feel happy when I listen to it.
I think this song is MUCH more fitting than the original. Don't get me wrong, the original is a nice tree-cantina tune, but this is much more fitting. Remember, many Bothans died to achieve this victory.
the emotions I saw in Luke's eyes when he see lia and han and all of his friends safe after their battle and after the secret he knew about darth vader and after the hardship of the battle against the imper and the happiness topping all this when he sees obi oan and anaken reunited makes me happy :) nice music
I fucking burst into tears when the new ending plays -- it's so amazing and emotional, and how it goes through the new scenes to connect this to the prequels. Everything is timed so well, and seeing prequel Anakin as he was in the beginning of Episode III just made me break down. Truly the end of the Star Wars movie saga for me...I don't count the new one...doesn't have any of the magic that George Lucas put into SW...
I actually love this scene and the Song. While in the un altered editions it was just the Ewok Village celebrating. While here it shows multiple planets celebrating. It really goes to show how much people hated the Empire.
ilikebiskits Much better than that song... In my opinion, this should have been the only change in the movie. It has far more emotion than the Yub nub song, plus the storm trooper helmet drum ride worked better in this song
Whenever this plays, my heart just gets all warm and makes me wonder about the future of the franchise. And then something in my mind always tells me, "It's all uphill from here."
I hope. Let's hope episode 8 outdoes tfa. I found tfa to be adequate in its goal of jump starting the franchise again, so let's hope episode 8 blows everyone away like empire did back in 1980.
I think the good thing about this version is that, well yub nub was cool, but ever since the prequels came out and explained everything that led up to the destruction of the Jedi and the rise of the empire, it would have been harder to take yub nub seriously.
the childrens singing remind me of the young-lings at the Jedi temple and them going to illum and constructing their first light-sabers, and young-lings rejoicing and having happy times
+justin martin I love this song, but what I loved so much about the original was the ending, where the lyrics translate to English and become "celebrate the light, celebrate the fight, glory. Celebrate the love. Celebrate the love..." Its just so perfect to end the trilogy with those words.
Freedom, we got freedom; And now that we can be free, Come on and celebrate. Power, we got power; And now that we can be free, It's time to celebrate. Celebrate the freedom; Celebrate the power; Celebrate the glory; Celebrate the love. Glory, we found glory. The power showed us the light, And now we all live free. *Celebrate the light; (Freedom!) Celebrate the might; (Power!) Celebrate the fight; (Glory!) Celebrate the love. Celebrate the love. Celebrate the love. Glory, we found glory. The power showed us the light, And now we all live free. *Celebrate the light; (Freedom!) Celebrate the might; (Power!) Celebrate the fight; (Glory!) Celebrate the love. Celebrate the love. Celebrate the love. Celebrate the love.
My cousin and I watched all 6 Star Wars movies straight through last month (7:30 AM - 9:30 PM) and I must say it gave me a greater appreciation for all of the movies as a whole. I originally didn't like any of the added things or this music, but now after that fateful marathon it all fits together and George Lucas really did do an amazing job! Pure genius to have Natalie Portman as Padme!
Reminds me of my final days of college as I passed final after final and handed in my projects. The end of a very very long journey. As cheesy as it sounds, it very much felt like I'd completed my own "Hero's Journey" in the Joseph Campbell sense. I always looked up to ROTJ Luke ever since I was a kid and those final moments of college felt like I was Luke after defeating the Empire. I was working in the campus IT department at the time, and since we're a small organization, I volunteered to do the A/V for the graduation ceremony rather than walking with my class. I cannot tell you how tempting it was to play this. Man, I really should have. I know there were some die-hard Star Wars fans in that crop of graduates. :D

I love this. I can't believe people hate on it. But you can't make everyone happy. Maybe it's just me being a 90's kid, but I still grew up with Star Wars and I welcome all the changes they made to all the movies. Just because it came out in a certain way first doesn't mean it was perfect. Lucas was given the chance to redo, make the changes that had probably haunted him for years, in order to better tell his story
Never heard the Yub Nub song, apparently ive only seen new edited versions. Anyways it is one of the changes i can actually understand, Yub Nub doesnt give the same feels, at all.
This is so soothing...I want to listen to this before I sleep but the end credit got me energized again...darn it all, John Williams! Why you do such great music???
Has anyone heard about this theory?. The Ewoks where going to cook and eat Han & Luke yeah. And at the end they have fires and are cooking something. They also have empty stormtrooper helmets and look like they are eating something. So are they eating stormtrooper?
That... makes a disturbing amount of sense. And now I can't unsee it. Curse you, King Hamster Trekkie the Sixth! You have ruined the final scene of one of my favorite films for all time.
LMAO!! I looked this up on UA-cam for exactly that reason!! When it showed all those people celebrating in different parts of the country I thought, "This is sooooo much like the end of RotJ when it showed everyone celebrating on Tatooine, Naboo and Coruscant!" You rock! XD
I really hope the new films don't do too much to ruin this moment. It's just such a perfect end to the trilogy that any continuation of the story is in some way going to lessen that moment of final freedom and relief that this perfect music gives.
Kieron Moncrieff the setting is not so much of an empire vs a weaker rebellion, I'm thinking it's more of a balanced flat out war, 2 factions fighting in order to gain control of the galaxy. I'm sure the resistance is quite organized and a military might of it's own, vs the first order, which possess improved imperial tech
Recently applied for a really awesome job. Would change my life. If I get it, this song will play in my iPod for about a week and will be posted on my Facebook page. What an awesome track!
THANK YOU! I dont know why people complain about this. The Yub Nub just isnt as interesting as this. Yub Nub just doesnt cut it. This one makes it really seem like a celebration, a victory. The other one...I dont even know. But this one sets the mood
@TheStuartCarson They even altered it to where in Star Wars continuity, the pre-fall Anakin is how he really manifests himself rather than the old, burnt up Anakin in the original films.
Out of all the Ass special edition changes this one in my opinion is more fitting than yuh nub. The song gives the original series a fitting finality that it deserves.
I could listen to this all day long! Original SW triology was epic for story and characters, prequel was little weaker but still awesome though bcs of action and padme of course
@mechayamcha yea i thought the same its weird if you watch them all in order no matter how many times it still feels good when the win but also that sad feeling as its the end of the greatest movie story ever
@DOSU344 dont forget they manage to make flying machines, help Chewie to capture an AT-ST, destroy 2 of them by themselves, one is seen driving a bike and another is seen holding a blaster pistol. They are the killer teddy bears of star wars. Cute and ass kicking
OMG I'M CRYIN... DAMNIT I KNOW WHY... THAT MOVIES HAS SOUL. OLD GOOD FUCKIN MOVIES LIKE "BACK TO THE FUTURE" SAGA, OR THE INDIANA JONES, OR STAR WARS THOU... DAMNIT...
Not really,Its my opinion first.I liked ROTS alot.It had alot of more action than the first one imo and the ending was fantastic. But I love all the films
Like I said,I love all the films. And i've watched pre-quels reviews and the hate they get,I still like them. And a ROTS is the same for me as with Nee Hope, just a liked it a little bit tiny more, thats all
My ranking for all star wars movies -Return of the jedi -Rogue one -Revenge of the sith -empire strikes back -The Force Awakens -A new Hope -The Phantom Menace -Attack of the clones(Never seen lol)
I still come back and listen to this. And while I'm Pro-Imperial, it really amplifies the end of the Empire in the original trilogy. The scene this plays over is also just breathtaking in my opinion, taking us back to Naboo and Coruscant and showing that the tyranny is finally over. .......then fucking Disney had to ruin it.
No, "The Return of the Jedi" was made in 1983. Since Hayden Christensen made his first Star Wars appearance in 2002, during "The Attack of the Clones", Lucas and his movie company had to make it fit with the Original Trilogy: Anakin couldn't have changed faces. So the 'modern' version of the Original Trilogy is a digitally remastered one. Similar to this is another change in episode V, where they 're-did' Palpatine's face when he contacts Darth Vader.
@horaciosi Do you know that, there are many langage over the world, with different names, for different things ? HERE he is called "DARK VADOR". You know the world is like this forum, its not only english.
Just makes me choke up when you see luke run up to his sister leia and they hug, also when luke rests on the tree, you just see such relief for some reason its just great.
MIKE ZEROH then Episode 7 happened.
MIKE ZEROH hi !
Especially when Anakin comes...
Thunder Kat And then Episode 8 unfortunately, ABOMINATIONS!
This entire track is a gem, but the flute melody from about 0:16 to 1:33 or so is pure musical gold.
I totally agree....
This is probably the best special edition change.
oh hell yeah it is!
but it was ruined by showing Hayden Christensen at the end
+Darth Vader nahh
+Darth Vader you're just mad that you didn't get to be old with Obi-wan and Yoda
True.
i freaking cried at the part where anakin ghost appeared next to yoda and obi-wan. this music fits perfectly
+Iskandar Zulkarnain me too
because i watched star wars starting from i to iii, so i am familiar with the young anakin. i felt the empathy, seeing him become a good friend, a good lover, a good son, until he corrupted, and turn dark. then we were shown vader, who is ruthless, dont give a shit and mean, who in the end came back to the light. as his ghost appeared, i was like OMG its anakin, he's in peace, he's back where he should be, with yoda and obi-wan. and looking at his two child, smiling. he just lost so much. he is finally in peace -- thats why i cried

+Iskandar Zulkarnain I cried because I've remembered my youth and my grandmother that was watching star wars with me, when I saw the blue ghosts.
This song not only conveyed victory but also loss and redemption for Vader
This song makes me cry.
Sabrina Thg....Same here..... very emotional scene...
Star Wars is the best part of my childhood. Me and my brother must of watched these films 100s of times together; playing with action figures, shooting blasters and duelling with lightsabers. Love it. WAY better than Yub Nub.

nice music
The best change in the special edition
0:11 to 0:15 sounds like Edward Khil singing trololol, cannot be unheard
trolololoooool
Lachlan Chang OMG. NO WAY. I NEVER HEARD THAT. That is fucking hilarious.
Lachlan Chang that is amazing. first time i ever noticed that thanks to u lmfao

Same!
Well you'd be wrong.

Gibbs6415 Umm, no.
+ilikebiskits I like this one more than the other one. It has more of a celebratory feel to it. Fitting as they just defeated the empire.

An appropriately bittersweet yet heartwarming eulogy for a Man who Lost His Life, But Earned Back His Soul. :) :(
the childrens singing remind me of the young-lings at the Jedi temple and them going to illum and constructing their first light-sabers, and young-lings rejoicing and having happy times
Anakin- Again SORRY !!!!!!!
And then having Darth Vader execute them Isis Style.
Just love this tune
0:10 hey it's the Trololo guy!
Sunset Shimmer the Magical Virgin Smelling Buttshaking Unicorn Plus there's "ya ya ya's" throughout the song.... another hint of the Eduard Khil
Sunset Shimmer the Magical Virgin Smelling Buttshaking Unicorn Oh my god! There is! XD
Much better than that Sesamy street-song that originaly was there...
Yeah you really felt the emotion with this song, especially when everyone starts hugging each other
+justin martin I love this song, but what I loved so much about the original was the ending, where the lyrics translate to English and become "celebrate the light, celebrate the fight, glory. Celebrate the love. Celebrate the love..." Its just so perfect to end the trilogy with those words.

Glory, we found glory.

Celebrate the love.
don't go on sesame street like that
@@jaredmcclure1730 thank you cookie monster

Dat bass
Best fantasy victory song ever!!!!!
I dont know why i find this so relaxing
By far the best soundtrack ever

star wars story should have ended to episode 6
I love this. I can't believe people hate on it. But you can't make everyone happy. when you defeat the empire in skyrim this song should start to play
VICTORY OR SOVENGARD!
brings me back to being 10 and going crazy when the theme song came on and jamming out
The emotions that I feel when this song plays is not able to be put into words. To be honest I cry every time I watch the end of Return of the Jedi :)
Never heard the Yub Nub song, apparently ive only seen new edited versions. Anyways it is one of the changes i can actually understand, Yub Nub doesnt give the same feels, at all.
This song creates such a great atmosphere for the ending of the story. For Revan!
This is so soothing...I want to listen to this before I sleep but the end credit got me energized again...darn it all, John Williams! Why you do such great music???
The bass in this is so good.
makes me wanna cry dont know why, amazing piece of music
This star wars movie might be one of my favorite movies of all time.
Omg this film ha so many feels!! T-T
To those who say that the special editions brought nothing good to the Star Wars franchise...
One of the few additions in the Special Edition that was an improvement.
This song make me happy
Has anyone heard about this theory?. The Ewoks where going to cook and eat Han & Luke yeah. And at the end they have fires and are cooking something. They also have empty stormtrooper helmets and look like they are eating something. So are they eating stormtrooper?
That... makes a disturbing amount of sense.
And now I can't unsee it. Curse you, King Hamster Trekkie the Sixth! You have ruined the final scene of one of my favorite films for all time.
Eric Manwill Sorry.
Holy hell you're right.
WHAT THE ACTUAL DAMN
Matthew Niamat I know it's horrible 😱
You are wrong because episode VII is out there, deep in space in the trash of remakes and rebots
This song is beautiful. no other words :)
Work done!! This is the best music to play!!
Emperor Palpatine and other 17 Stormtroopers disliked this video cuz they lost :3
freaking onions made me cry
LMAO!! I looked this up on UA-cam for exactly that reason!! When it showed all those people celebrating in different parts of the country I thought, "This is sooooo much like the end of RotJ when it showed everyone celebrating on Tatooine, Naboo and Coruscant!" You rock! XD
A very beautiful ending, to Anakin's Skywalker's redemption
I really hope the new films don't do too much to ruin this moment. It's just such a perfect end to the trilogy that any continuation of the story is in some way going to lessen that moment of final freedom and relief that this perfect music gives.
HasPatrick Well they've revealed that the Rebel alliance hasn't grown much & the Empire now known as the First Order still controls most of the Galaxy
Kieron Moncrieff well shit...
***** I have no Idea what you're talking about The Force Awakens was an amazing film
Recently applied for a really awesome job. Would change my life. If I get it, this song will play in my iPod for about a week and will be posted on my Facebook page. What an awesome track!
As much as I prefer Sebastian Shaw ghost, the new Victory song was sooooo much better than Yub Nub.
THANK YOU! I dont know why people complain about this. The Yub Nub just isnt as interesting as this. Yub Nub just doesnt cut it. This one makes it really seem like a celebration, a victory. The other one...I dont even know. But this one sets the mood
The 1997 special edition has this song and shaws ghost!
Love the remastered song and I like how they added hayden in, even though many starwars fans hated it.
@TheStuartCarson
They even altered it to where in Star Wars continuity, the pre-fall Anakin is how he really manifests himself rather than the old, burnt up Anakin in the original films.
One of the few changes I actually like.
beautiful song
listening to this, it makes you think of how star wars used to be much more simpler back then.
Empire
A New Hope
Jedi
What are these other movies you all are talking about?
The francise of star wars movies alone is epic!
2:26 is the moment everyone cried except Star Trek fans
+Omer Gaming94 (Gamerboy123) you are right
i don't care about what people say about return of the jedi this movie was awesome.
Out of all the Ass special edition changes this one in my opinion is more fitting than yuh nub. The song gives the original series a fitting finality that it deserves.
I love every Star Wars theme from every movie
just to think so many people died and nearly athousand years of warfeare between the Sith and the Jedi now peace is restored :D
When this semester is over, I will play this.
Thank you so much for uploading this.
I hereby dedicate this to the Chicago Cubs.
I love this song so much, shows finality, kinda hate they made another trilogy because this kinda ended it for me
I could listen to this all day long! Original SW triology was epic for story and characters, prequel was little weaker but still awesome though bcs of action and padme of course
me too, i always have that sad feeling but its acctually a good one
The best Star Wars trilogy (up to now)
@mechayamcha
yea i thought the same its weird if you watch them all in order no matter how many times it still feels good when the win but also that sad feeling as its the end of the greatest movie story ever
Personaly,I like this song.
DarthPedda best name ever thanks alot for this vid
@DOSU344 dont forget they manage to make flying machines, help Chewie to capture an AT-ST, destroy 2 of them by themselves, one is seen driving a bike and another is seen holding a blaster pistol. They are the killer teddy bears of star wars. Cute and ass kicking
The one change I liked. I love this music over the original.
OMG I'M CRYIN... DAMNIT I KNOW WHY... THAT MOVIES HAS SOUL.
OLD GOOD FUCKIN MOVIES LIKE "BACK TO THE FUTURE" SAGA, OR THE INDIANA JONES, OR STAR WARS THOU...
DAMNIT...
I LOVE this version of the victory celebration music better than the yub-nub song! This also reminds me of Canadian music on a nice Canada Day night!
i JUST FINISHED MY EXAM! THIS IS THE RIGHT MUSIC TO PLAY :)
I think its the Bass guitar that makes the song have that funky dance feel.
Damn This Is Good. I Love It. Liked And Favorited.
This song is beautiful and a much better ending song for such a great trilogy then yub nub.
The Emperor, Darth Maul and Count Dooku disliked this video.
My star wars movie rankings:
1.Return of the jedi
2.The empire strikes back
3.Revenge of the sith
4.New Hope
5.Phantom Menace
6.Attack of the clones
yes I did
Not really,Its my opinion first.I liked ROTS alot.It had alot of more action than the first one imo and the ending was fantastic. But I love all the films

Return of the Jedi is my favourite star wars film
Like if u agree
My 2nd favorite right after Empire.
My ranking for all star wars movies
-Return of the jedi
-Rogue one
-Revenge of the sith
-empire strikes back
-The Force Awakens
-A new Hope
-The Phantom Menace
-Attack of the clones(Never seen lol)
totally agree ! I preferred the music in the older version
Great music for the ending of a movie series.
"when gone am i, the last of the Jedi will you be."
