    What makes capoeira so challenging in my opinion is that you gotta learn how to stop and change your momentum on a dime like I can go in circles all day but needing to stop and change directions quickly is like next level.

    Re: balance drops and their variations, I can't get up again by doing the same thing backwards when my knees touch the ground, nor can I control my descent so that my knees don't quite touch the ground. How can I develop those abilities? Is there a progression (or are there progressions) I can use to develop those abilities, so I can even do balance drops in the first place?

    • @OfficialRAWTRICKS
      @OfficialRAWTRICKS  8 років тому

      +trombonemunroe ok i see, you can try 2 progressions, there is one exercise in one of my videos, i think the 9 leg exercises is the heel squat, but instead of standing on the heels u will stand on the ball of the foot, check that one out, the other you can stand parallel to a wall and use your hand for balance, but o recommend the first one to gain strength, 💪

    hello man. first of all thanks very much for every video you made. it's really the best tutorial ever.
    can you explain me what's the aim of a capoeira match? I did capoeira for a couple of months but then had to stop it. I asked this question but nobody answered. I always thought it's like a chess match where every move of the rival has to be contrasted with negative movements... so I give a kick and the other tries to do something to contrast it or move away from it. is it correct?
    and why sometimes there's contact and sometimes there isn't?

    • @OfficialRAWTRICKS
      @OfficialRAWTRICKS  6 років тому

      Thanks man appreciate the support, listen for me Capoeira is a fight, the aim of a fight is to win, capoeira give you different ways of wining the fight. All in the context of capoeira, as you know there is not a physical referee on the Roda, however who determines how this fight exchange goes is the music ( Berimbao) so all this has to happen around the Rhythm that is played. So it depends of the rhythm it can be full contact, can be just outplaying your opponent with floreios, or can be a takedown etc... the problem is that you had to understand the music, and you don’t learn that in 1 month or 4 months, you need to commit to really learning every aspect of capoeira.
      Greetings

    • @san5a89
      @san5a89 6 років тому

      @@OfficialRAWTRICKS
      hello mate thanks for the quick reply and sorry for the delay. what I don't understand is how you can say one wins or one does a good move to the opponent move since there is no contact.
      I mean if you do a media lua what should I do to be in advantage? to me a lot of move don't make any sense but I'm sure there is a sense to a certain move or an other...

    Tremendous tutorial man, but there's an injury that's partiall preventing me from doing this. I had a bacterial infection that spread my right wrist and one of my legs. My leg has fully healed but my hand hasn't. As a result I am not able to bend it as the other one making this almost impossible. If you have any tips please let me know. Thanks and subscribed

    • @mrniceguy7167
      @mrniceguy7167 6 років тому

      I forgot to mention that my orthopaedic said that it it will heal in 1-2 years by itself and that I should just move it and excercise it. My physiotherapist gave me some exercises to do and I followed them for some time and after seeing no improvements, my rate of practicing dropped. It's been 3 years now and there's not been even the slightest improvement, if you have any suggestions please let me know and thanks.

    How to avoid destroying the knee on 1 and 2?

    • @OfficialRAWTRICKS
      @OfficialRAWTRICKS  8 років тому +1

      Jake Friedman how would you destroy the knee? You are not standing on the heels so the the knees are fully supported by the quads while passing the line of the toes. Also step 1 and 2 are exercises commonly known in capoeira, as I stated is recommended to have a fundamental capoeira knowledge while being free of injuries.
      Youcan always skip the exercises you are not comfortable doing 🙏💪
