Update Being enjoying my set, quick tip it needs a clean source to shine. Am running it on ibasso dx300 dap but any good usb dac/amp will do(ibasso dc05) Also a good eartips is required to get a good slamming and tight bass (symbio hybrid wide bore eartips) it improves soundstage as well. This iem scales like a beast when given enough power just like the og p1. The imaging and soundstage on this iem simply amazing. Instrument separation is nuts(lighting speed) micro details is done effortlessly without becoming too fatigue. The tonality is very organic and natural(no planar tembre 😍) the bass very controlled and tight(hits had when needed) take care 👍
Thanks for another honest review and opinion. I love it when you express an opinion from actually listening to live music, from a club or from a concert. It is good if you know how to play an instrument, even as an amateur, it is good to have such an experience. When I listen to bass sound music I listen to Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" ,I pay attention to whether it notices or loses double bass. Also in the composition "No Problem" by Chet Baker, I pay attention to whether the sound of double bass is noticed or lost. In the composition "Kiss Of Spain" Chet Baker, I like to "feel" how the performer on double bass "squeezes" the neck of the instrument with his palm (I like when IEM can convey that impression and feeling to me). For some 3D effect I listen to Daft Punk. I would like you to present your compositions in the review, that would help us, your companions, a lot. It would also be good to give your opinion on portable DAC dongles on your channel. Different chips give different sound, Cirrus Logic / Saber / AKM. I think reviews of portable DAC dongles would help your channel. Which portable DAC do you use?
Hi, thanks for the well written comment. I use the dragonfly red or apple dongle most all of my testing. Daft punk RAM, is a great album. I will try to incorporate compositions/songs into my reviews, that’s a good point. The tin Hifi is lighter on the bass, I wouldn’t be certain if the bass on these would fit your needs. For me it’s perfect since the focus shifts to the midrange and treble. That’s why I like a few different iems for different things.
@@branislavcrljenica2584 Yes I listen to mostly classical music and live instruments. I think the P1 max is great, instruments sound clean and crisp without being overbearing. Saxaphone and trumpets sound nicely seperated without being forward (slightly recessed).
@@realaudioreviews Edit: Yes it can really be a bit "tiring" to listen when the trumpet and saxophone are "forward" What first comes to mind as a complaint about KATO?
Thanks for your reviews. Enjoy them a lot. I do wonder if you’ve tried using the Cayin RU6 R2R dongle DAC with your IEMs, especially the planar ones? I use that with Timeless and for me at least it’s a match made in heaven. Just incredible. Would like to see what happens when you use a source like that with the IEMs that you have.
I received my P1 Maxs and I really dig them too. The tuning is more in line with my personal preference. So far they are number 1 planar. Ask me again in a month…he hr…!
Great review bro 👍 Can I ask for your opinion.. So here I have my good ol' OG P1 and think about upgrading them since I always need my Ifi Nano BL to drive 😭 And I'm always searching for a wide and airy soundstage and I found my P1 is a bit narrow 😓 Bass isn't a big problem since I can EQ anyway S12, Timeless, and Max.. Between those 3 (or any IEM around 200) which do you think is for me ? And is it worth upgrading ? (My used P1 is only worth 100 now) Best Regards 🙏👋
Tin hifi has better soundstage and imaging. Timeless has better clarity and resolution. I’d say they’re close since P1 has more depth. In terms of raw detail the timeless is slightly better.
Nice review, and a new contender in the planar world.....any chance we may see Fiio FH9 review? It's very talked about iem nowadays and in the asking price a beast of an iem.
ORDERED YESTERDAY!there's a discount at linsoul 138$ (ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT)!!! i'm looking exactly to that sound signature, let's wait. i hope they won't be too much power hungry, i'll use them with qwestyle m12, that for me has got a little of recessed mid and highs but a very good slam on basses. i hope also the image is wide and deep as you say, do you try them with a pure silver cable ad wide bore tips?
Nope just stock cable. It’s a really fun listen, extended treble. The mid is slightly recessed, bass is good enough. It’s requires a little bit of power.
The see yume and ej07m have a better tonal balance. Tea has the fullest midrange, but too relaxed of an upper midrange. Id say the Tin is the most relaxed midrange, slightly recessed in comparison to the Yume and ej07m.
Planar war and the sub-100 war are redefining the hobby I think. Oh yea also the sub $30 of which the newest addition is CHU, best for taking the hobby mainstream. This is pretty exciting but things are dying down, we’re reaching peak saturation.
Great review! 👌Congratulations! I need your opinion about the sound power volume of this IEM and also the external noise isolation. I am searching for a planar IEM for live sound monitoring (i'm a keyboard player in a gospel /rock band). I need high power volume at low distorsion. As i see, the planars have much lower SPL compared to normal type earphones. Compared to the KZ ZS10 how is the sound volume power handling?
The p1 max doesn’t isolate that well since it’s not deep insertion. The sensitivity is low on these, it does require some power. What’s your budget? I haven’t heard the KZ.
@@realaudioreviews thank you for your response! I can drive any IEM with enough power from my mixer. The lower sensitivity can be compensated by high power handling. I don’t know about how many mW can handle the P1. I would prefer something between 70 -200 USD, not too V shape because i have to hear all details, all the instruments. I have tried the TIN T2 , but doesn’t sound clear at high higher volume.
wow now i'm considering this and olina because it has similar price, do you think this is better in technicality or is it incomparable and just different tuning and tonal?
The tin hifi sounds more expansive and refined, the Olina sounds a little fatiguing in comparison. I think the p1 max is more detailed than the Olina. If you want smoother sound p1 max is better. A little brightness would be the Olina.
Yume has the perfect mid/treble tonality. P1 max has a recessed midrange, slightly better treble. P1 max sounds more open. Variations is more detailed than both of them, stronger sub bass more detailed midrange and smooth treble.
