Thank you, Jim. This was something I figured I could do and I did do it without any particular trouble, but your tips made it so much easier! I can't imagine how much I would have struggled before I figured out to remove the 10mm bold to be able to move the window track.
Thanks for the help! Had 2 to replace today. Only thing I would add is that the "blue" clip is passenger side and that it rotates off but shouldn't fall out. And that the rod should be pulled straight out with a pair of pliers. Peace, Grant
When they build these car and truck doors you would think they leave a little more room so parts can be replaced more easily. I replaced the outside door handle on my explorer and one of the two studs was almost impossible for me to reach. You know how sharp those opening edges can be. Just takes some time and a lot of patience Very good video Jim
My new part didn’t come with the metal bar for the lock that’s attached. Is there a way to take the metal bar off the old actuator and put on the new one?
About to have my wife's passenger side door done at our local mechanic. About how long do you think it should take? Just looking for a rough estimate. Thanks and love your videos!
Great job Jim. My wife's Nissan Murano SUV liftgate actuator went out, a garage told her the part alone was over $500. Does this sound right, and anywhere else besides the dealer to buy one? Thanks, John
If you go to Nissan Parts & look up your part from an online Dealer or OE Parts Source you will find the Actuator is $691/$426. I just put in a 2012 Murano, you could take it out & check it out & also consider a used part at a salvage yard.
This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to replace it without the door being open? My driver side door is the one that is broken, and it’s permanently locked.
Yes you can but you have to remove the door panel to gain access to the lock and screws. Be careful when removing the panel so you don't brake the panel.
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Tucker Ezekiel I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I thought Honda agreed to pay the cost to fix because someone sued and won the case. If you own 2007 through 2009 you could have dealer fix it for free because it was their part was bad when they built it new. So go to dealer and don't spend your own money.

Check the 3 mounting screws before you start to make sure they will come off.... Had to drill out one of mine. Pretty tough to complete.

this part is where I got stuck right now, will update once I pulled it out, geez it's not really easy 😉

Very very helpful and detailed. Thanks a lot
Best place to buy this part? I just bought a used 2011 CRV and need this part for the drivers side door

Hey Jim, do you know if these 07 CRV actuators would fit an 07 Crossroad?
I’m not sure but I think it will not work
@@jimthecarguy Ok thanks :)

I bought an actuator that didn’t come with a lever arm. The connection at the base of the arm is impossible to attach to the new actuator. Any tips?
I’m having the same issue
I ended up returning the part that I had ordered and reordered some parts that for sure had the actuator arm connected to the body.

Those three screws near the hinge is incredibly difficult. I had to use an impact driver many times to get it going. Be careful not to round them.

@Tucker Ezekiel it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out :D

I think the cut off for redeeming that offer was in 2015
@@smrfsrok Thank you for your information. I wouldn't want other people to waste their time because of my mistake.
honda succeeds in creating a Bullshine ridiculous idea. Just like BMW and Mercedes.
Prying the rod out is the real pain. Good luck.
