Huge oversight for the devs to remove all shield melee damage. Now shields have the ability to stun lock defenders infinitely. They should’ve reduced the shield damage but not remove it completely.
I don't think that solves the problem. I'd rather see a cool down on the shield bash that's long enough to allow the defender to get up and move away, or melee the shield player.
The stun lock can only be infinite if they are 2 players with shields ping ponging 1 defender, in a 1v1 the defender will have priority to shoot before a second melee stun. But the shield user can still shoot first

The problem needs to be seen through the lens of "is the defender taken out of the fight once they are knocked down by a shield", whether that's via stun lock or death.

The suppression also seems a bit strong to stop shield ops from sprinting, I haven't tried the test servers but from hearing the nerfs it seems the aggressive shield playstyle i.e Blitz is gone. Especially for Blitz, being aggressive and punishing bad organization and communication by attacking fast is what makes him different than the 1 speed Fuze or Monty player, and that's without even considering Blackbeard in the new meta. Speed debuff kills Blitz and reduces him to be either a bullet sponge or a baiter because closing the distance just doesn't sound viable anymore.

Giving ITA shotty to TB is like giving Bailiff to Mute.. I used to main TB over Doc with her Spas + bearing combo if I need to setup site in some map. With this change, her Spas are no longer viable option and be forgotten, just like Frost's and Melusi's super90.
well who knows, some people may still prefer having better close-range shotgun capabilities with Spas, semi-auto shotguns are getting a bit buffed after all, up to preferences I'd say.
giving the ita doesnt make the spas redundant. it just allows more different play-styles for players that might not like the bearing or the spas. the ita is meant for site setup which is why its a secondary.
I propose subtle change to the new shield bash. Maybe keep no damage but every bash is slower than the last. This way the shield op gets tired from bashing and the defenders get a small window to counter.
It is when you’re trying to plant. For some reason, (in my experience at least) when you put your shield on your back and crouch backwards into site to plant, the defenders become absolutely retarded and can’t stop you

No damage from Shields to me is just absolutely dumb. They should do less damage but you're still getting bashed with a huge blunt object. I don't know why they overcomplicated everything. All they had to do was take the sprinting off the shields. That's what made them overpowered. It's one thing to see someone with a shield, think you aren't able to take care of them, but be able to run away because they're too slow. It's a whole different problem when you're in that same situation but when you try to run away they're running behind you basically the same speed and just still get bashed to death. If they weren't able to run you down and non-stop Bosch you then they wouldn't be op. They should make the bashing do like 30 damage and make the knock back from it go away quicker and maybe push the defender a little further back. That way they can't just repeatedly bash bash bash with the defender having no chance of getting out of it before dying. That way if you end up in close quarters with a shield you can still die but you have a way better chance of getting up out of it even if you don't kill them.

Having less stuns will probably be a great change, this may be an indirect buff to Ops like Jäger specifically and Wamai as well, which could encourage more play for them. One last thing I would like to add is how terrible the bell curve of the Ranks looks now vs Ranked 1.0, there are too many Coppers and maybe around 25% too many Bronzes as well. Ubisoft needs to get rid of one of the tiers for the first 5 Ranks, the amount of games that has to be played in Ranked now is too time consuming. I find myself giving up early on in the Season when I'm getting around 75 to 90 MMR per win, I've been keeping track per Season. My avg Rank is Emerald when I stop playing early and when I push myself to the point of wanting to quit for the rest of the Season I will go for Diamond 3. I'm getting so burned out of having to play so much in Ranked that I will quit playing for a month. I have a hard time finding my way back into the game at all, I have to force myself to play again, and it feels like a strange depression.

Zero would be a contender having great guns, a gonna 6, ACOG, but he requires too much of an actual job to use utility and place them out that he does not have a significant reason to be picked in this constant high firerate/no recoil/ACOG Meta/Rush.

the scar-h was not buffed enough in my opinion because it has 44 damage with 585 rate of fire and 23 bullets in the magazine and there are weapons like the Commando and Zero's F2000 with more damage more rate of fire and more bullets

Jager is already one of the most used ops buffing his trophy system would make him OP and throwables useless especially if they buffed him and their team had a wamai there would be no reasons for Grenades or stuns at that point

I've played both platforms, console players drone way less and rely more on just blitzing obj and gunfighting instead of using any kind of utility. For some reason utility is frowned upon, you're "bad" if you use it to the full potential instead of fragging out 24/7 There's also a large cheating epidemic where mnk/xim players and cronus users populate champ or diamond elo brackets, having zero recoil, pinpoint aim, and abusing third party hardware dunking on controller players whomst are playing regularly. They ban Kapkan a lot so they can just walk into site without droning and checking corners, I enjoy PC a lot more even though those players exist on there as well.
Something that came to my mind when I play this game is why Ubisoft make the changes they do to the game to make it more tactically and slow then why we have only 3 minutes per rounds in rank and short matches in qp don’t make sense to me, I think we should have 5 minutes per round and less matches like standard to balance it. Literally you never have time to reinforce correctly or the time to dron and attack more calm and strategic. Just saying that’s all.
If a 5 team cannot spread out 10 5 second reinforcements over 45 seconds it's their own fault. The amount of doc/vigil/rooks that I see run away to stand by a window for all of prep is insane.

Damn, so if I learn how to perfectly time Shield Bashes, I could hold a poor defender Hostage for an entire rest of a round? dont get me wrong, the Shield Nerfs were more then needed, but they overdid it with this one and made shields a necesity to kill or else they could be even more annoying then before
the scar-h was not buffed enough in my opinion because it has 44 damage with 585 rate of fire and 23 bullets in the magazine and there are weapons like the Commando and Zero's F2000 with more damage more rate of fire and more bullets
His gun sucks because his old gadget would be unbearable if he had any firepower. Even still it's best for ubi to not buff the hell out of the new ability before it's been properly played
So doing all of this to ying and grenades instead of just buffing Jaeger's trophy system
Jager is already one of the most used ops buffing his trophy system would make him OP and throwables useless especially if they buffed him and their team had a wamai there would be no reasons for Grenades or stuns at that point
@RanseAlmenteros and I'm not saying to basically have no cooldown on his gadget either but with the cooldown where it is now puts it at a similar situation as current thunderbird before her buff comes in next season

@@MsKyliel Yeah I get that but at the same time if you're going to drone in, call out a Kapkan and then go into the round you can't just fuckin forget that they have a Kapkan. I know that can happen but players don't want to think about security and whatever plan they are trying to take they just want to run in and kill shit. Ofc at least not until higher elo.
I've played both platforms, console players drone way less and rely more on just blitzing obj and gunfighting instead of using any kind of utility. For some reason utility is frowned upon, you're "bad" if you use it to the full potential instead of fragging out 24/7
There's also a large cheating epidemic where mnk/xim players and cronus users populate champ or diamond elo brackets, having zero recoil, pinpoint aim, and abusing third party hardware dunking on controller players whomst are playing regularly. They ban Kapkan a lot so they can just walk into site without droning and checking corners, I enjoy PC a lot more even though those players exist on there as well.
Something that came to my mind when I play this game is why Ubisoft make the changes they do to the game to make it more tactically and slow then why we have only 3 minutes per rounds in rank and short matches in qp don’t make sense to me, I think we should have 5 minutes per round and less matches like standard to balance it. Literally you never have time to reinforce correctly or the time to dron and attack more calm and strategic. Just saying that’s all.
If a 5 team cannot spread out 10 5 second reinforcements over 45 seconds it's their own fault. The amount of doc/vigil/rooks that I see run away to stand by a window for all of prep is insane.

What i think they should've done is make her kona station work like a fenrir gadget, like when she places her kona station down she has to look at a teammate and press a button to heal them across the map without them having to come to her kona station to heal.

She still has flashes, she just activates them slower. Dying purely because ying could insta flash you while being immune herself is not fun to play against.
